What a block by Bamba!
He’s come so far it’s wild for a freshman. He’s also very likely the best pure athlete in the conference. I hate how well the pieces fit for UConn.

It wasn't just him. Both Nova and Marquette put on atrocious displays of offense last night. They both had the same game "plan": Play 5 out, give the ball to somebody, hope he can create something for himself, and if not he can chuck up a contested 3 or pass to somebody else to do that. Unwatchable basketball. In the end Marquette had more talent (outside of Bamba who he refuses to use enough Nova really does not have much).
I felt that Providence would beat either of those teams and I think they will beat Marquette tonight. So it will be an old school, St John's v Providence final tomorrow
I am not saying Neptune is a good coach but the more I see of Nova, the more I think the talent level is much lower than many (myself included) thought.
Moore, big shot vs Depaul excluded, is just a shell of his former self athletically. He used to live in the paint. Sad to see.

On a related topic . I recall years ago that BE Tickets were sold on a Session basis . Afternoon session , Evening session .
You had to leave the building between sessions .
But , now I am confused .
Yesterday had the Afternoon and Evening sessions too. Did people have to leave the Arena after the SJU- SH game ?
Another question was I always bought BE Tickets for every game . It was the way they were sold .
Last night , for the Evening session , it was a completely different crowd . No Red Shirts noticeable . When I and my Group went to the BET back then , we went to every game , regardless of who was playing . Often ,we would be there from 12 noon until Midnight . Then off to Runyons , no longer there or PJ Clarkes.
Of course , we had midtown hotel rooms and took off from work those days . We did that for about 15 years until we moved away or retired , etc
I’m sure now the cost would be prohibitive to do that . Plus , I gather Midtown hotels are not crowded with BB fans these days .
The good old days were certainly that .
Honestly, I'd feel the same way if UVA/Miss St or A&M/New Mexico lost + Dayton won. As a STJ fan, everything must remain interesting!
There’s separate tickets per session so after the SJU game, we left and came back for the 2 evening games with different tickets. I’ve gone to every session but I’ve seen different people around me each time. Back in the day, I felt like we became friends (or at least drinking buddies) with the people in our section. I guess lots of money to be made by selling tickets but I’m all about the experience. Honestly, Weds and Thurs evening sessions were great because I could just enjoy the basketball vs yesterday afternoon I wanted to vomit intermittently during our game….

He could easily be playing himself into a top 10 pick too

It’s a head scratcher that PC isn’t projected in right now. If we win today, they’ll pick up a 7th Q1 win with a chance for another with a win over Marquette

I don’t get it either. Providence, imo, is right there with us in the “teams you don’t want to play” category. Carter (and Oduro) is a beast and English is a fine coach. Pierre is a nice player too.

Has done a remarkable job. We all know the big loss with Hopkins but it’s more than that. Lost their back up big Will McNair who transferred in, went on their foreign summer trip and then bailed for KState before the season. Veteran guard Alyn Breed was suspend from the school last spring on false gun charges which was dismissed in the fall. Justin Fernandez was a 4 star recruit he brought the GM and then PC has been put all year with injury
PC has been resilient. Everytime you think they are out they storm right back. Of course Devin Carter being the best player on the court on a nightly basis is a big part of it
