Bahamas Tourney

I'm pretty surprised this hasn't sold out. I was refreshing the page months ago expecting it to sell out in minutes. Maybe some of the other team fans don't have as much interest? UVA fans for instance may not be enthiasatic given how their season ended. Would be great if Johnnies fans have the biggest presence.

Also prices for the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar hotel lowered so it may be worth rebooking if you bought near the peak. Make sure to do at least 4 nights to get one free.
Hurricane season. I'm surprised how many people attend.

Typically, the hurricane period is done by October in the Atlantic.
June 30 to Dec 1 was pre global warming. I was a catastrophe underwriter while working for Lloyd's. The first hurricane this season was in May. Sandy devoured NJ 10/29/12. The Gulf water temp is currently 86 degrees. The English modelers are preparing for hurricanes through November based almost entirely on water temps. Global Warming will determine hurricane season now. It's gonna get worse, unless of course you don't believe in science.

My son and I will be attending the Tourney this year, a quick flight over from FLL. I see folks have purchased tickets to the Georgia game - saw somewhere that was an 11am start on Sunday? Does anyone have a link to buy tickets - I didn't see anything on the Atlantis website for this? Thanks in advance looking forward to seeing a good group of fans there!

It's not a cheap trip any way you slice it, even if you don't stay at the Grand Hyatt. Should be a really fun atmosphere regardless.

I just booked my flights today. Can't wait

I'm not going to the Bahamas but have spoken to a lot of fans who are going. I spend a lot of time in Florida in the winter so the Bahamas weather and the timing out the trip doesn't do it for me.

But it appears we are going to be represented so if you are on the fence and didn't go yo Charleston this promises to be a great trip surrounded by great Johnny fans who are even better people.

Thats true, I've never done one of these trips and am not familiar with how quickly they typically sell out, so I'm just surprised is all. Regardless there does seem to be a lot of enthusiasm from St. John's fans which is all that matters. Even a slight fan advantage would be huge in a small arena like this.

The last time we played in the Bahamas I think was 2016 when we weren't competitive (0-3), so I'm really glad we're in this now. Also, basketball aside the resort and Bahamas in general look incredible.

I spent a day in Baha Mar in March, and I have a few friends that have visited constantly, and swear by it. I'm very much looking forward to spending a week there. When I was there in March it somehow felt like being in Las Vegas, Miami, the Caribbean all at the same time. I was counting down the days to come back.

It has been referred to as climate change for years, not global warming. Why is it so hard for you to leave your political beliefs out of your posts?

Nobody wants to read that on a sports forum. We are a small group that cares way too much about one of like 300 college basketball teams and we don’t need to be divided any further. Please stop.

Eye of the Storm pod coming LIVE from poolside!!!

Have random redfan/Johnny guests- 5 min slots- tipsy/blitzed from Open Bar.... A+ content.... you're welcome

I just booked flights and hotel (bought tickets for the games months ago) and I am staying at Breezes all inclusive right next door to Baha Mar. Was only $285/night for all inclusive. MJM could drink that in IPAs easy ;)

Hey guys, Baylor fan here (sorry lol)! I'm looking to sell some tickets to the tournament.

Friends and I really wanted to go, tried everything to make it work and just couldn't so we're looking to sell our tickets.

We've got 4 Two Day tickets and 3 One day tickets (Friday).

This is JUST tickets to the games. No lodging or anything else included.

We're only looking to recoup most of what we paid, but knowing there are still tickets available I'd sell them for $20 less than face value per ticket to make it worth your while.

2 questions:
Does anyone know if we will be the home or away team (so we can sit behind our bench)?
It says Private, round-trip ground transportation to Atlantis, Paradise Island Resort. From where?
Assuming the transportation would be from Baha Mar? Those $351 packages include a cocktail party as well but keep in mind the game starts at 11 AM. I bought the Premium Sideline Corner Seats for $148 each a few months ago (whick look to be directly behind the benches according to the seating chart) and I suspect SJU will have a bus from Baha. Don't remember if I needed to specify what team I was supporting when I bought the tickets. I can do without cocktails at 10 AM since I'm not 25 anymore. :)

I think it’s general admission.
