Sometimes I get the feeling that usguard doing a doobie and playing air guitar to Jimi Hendrix records in between his posts ... Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)
P.S. No offense meant, usguard.

Done taken,I guess what I meant to say each recruiter has special relationships with players that make signing that player a better possibility
Tried playing the guitar never got past 4-5 cords .Thats a hard instrument to master
Anyway I like the direction the program is now headed and look forward to a good 2019

I just hope DeMeo “severed” his ties with that guy Kuklinski. If so, I’m good with this hire.

You're a class act ... and you've got me beat by two or three chords. And yes, let's look forward to a good year.

I know it's the offseason but damn it's quiet! We still don't know the contract and salary for MA by now? I really think Cragg saw how the Mullin thing played out on social media (I know he looks because he has told me this) and didn't want the same drama with this administration, so he probably had some meeting to ensure personal things don't get out like they used to. I'm sure MA has a role as well...just seems like a drama free no BS guy. Let the work speak for itself type. Let's avoid embarrassment next year and win 15+ games then hopefully get a solid recruiting class for 2020.

Private school so terms don't have to be disclosed.
Cragg is able to implement his regime.
The loose lipped loudmouth is harvesting corn now so details don't get out as easily.

3 things that pretty much sum it up.

Hysterical and so true.

LOL

It’s looking like DeMeo has taken the last spot for assistant coach for the Johnnies and MA’s staff. Paul Pressey will come on in the special assistant to the head coach role. Solid, solid staff. MA has tried to cover all his bases, something he did not do with his staff at Arkansas. Hungry, seasoned staff with connections everywhere. Excited to see what these guys will get accomplished together!

Why are you worried about Coach Anderson's salary. It is really none of our business. I learned early in life to never count another man's money.

We are fans, and as fans our job is to support the coaches and players. If they are not doing well, we can critique them, without being disrespectful.

However, to harp on their salaries is just being "NOSEY".

You the man Big Red!
Great news imo, actually more great news since MA was hired.

For those half-filled glasses or 1/4 filled or even - lol - 1/8 filled posters - which I respect -
I believe the synergy among Mike Anderson, his staff, we fans - all based on a need if not desperation to succeed - will bear fruit - "Ws" (plural) kind of fruit.

Mike Anderson has been successful, true, but has never coached in an environment with high ceiling potential as with St. Johns and MSG.

I understand the need to pause and "we shall see what we shall see" but I believe there is legitimate cause for optimism. Why MA has already taken steps that we longed for - show yourself in public, mingle with students and local types, hire staff, be out on the trail RECRUITING!

The combination of factors here =

The meeting of two personalities (MS and SJU) is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.

all the best!

I have to disagree here, his staff at Arkansas was just as qualified as the staff he is assembling here.

Melvin Watkins his associate head coach, was an extremely qualified coach and did a great job at Arkansas, despite what some Arkansas fans like to say about him now. The guy has connections all over the nation and brought us in some good out of state recruits. And let's not act like he wasn't the best big man coach in school history. Portis, Gafford, and Kingsley all gave credit to Watkins, all 3 of those guys were all SEC players, 2 of them SEC POY caliber, and 2 of them are/will be first round draft picks. You can't name another assistant coach that developed big men as well as he did that collected more accolades in such a short time. Watkins was also the lead recruiter on 4-star out of state prospects such as Jimmy Whitt, Moses Kingsley, Nick Babb, and Jaylen Barford.... And I know I'm forgetting some, but those are the name that come to my head right away.

And Scotty Thurman was an up and comer. He's arguably one of the most popular players in school history and had been working for the school for several years and developing before he was promoted to an assistant coach. He more than paid his dues, and in his short time he landed some good prospects, most notably Reggie Chaney, 4-star out of Nevada. And his biggest contribution was a shooting coach. Under his watch we had some of the best shooting years in school history, with the Macon/Hannahs team, and this year when Isiah Joe broke every single season 3-point shooting record and tied the SEC record.

But, again, to some Arkansas fans it's not cool to present those facts, since the coaches aren't employed by the university anymore, you listen to some people and they will tell you they were just scrub coaches and Anderson wasn't motivated Arkansas. It's amazing how someone so unmotivated managed to never have a losing season at a school before he took over was doing nothing but losing the previous 10 years.

Always a pet peeve of mine bringing up someone's salary.

Always pined to play the guitar. An instructor once told me something like: "it's rare, but every so often I've found people physically incapable of chord management."
Didn't help i'm tone deaf and also can't sing.
Lol.

The irony in that specific poster bringing up money again is very ironic. It's safe to assume if one is not paying for a Nova SJU game ticket at MSG, one is also not making impactful donations to the program. As such, that poster should politely shut up when it comes to do with anything about money and the program. Put up or shut up. He's grasping at straws now to find something negative to bitch about on a forum and social media. A troll for sure.
