fwiw, despite what was written by Roger R in the NY Daily News, i am hearing ZERO interest from Book for an assistant position at SJU.

Staff of Slice, Matt A (who will deliver Diallo), Pickney, Terrence as DOBO plus perhaps one other former SJU player will be fantastic.
We will now win when it counts; not only in the press conference like the past decade.
Chances of Slice coming?
hearing very good things.
of course, we will have to wait unitl bext week when Kentucky's season is over, but it looks good from everything i have heard.

I'm thrilled that our youngest regular poster (who shows more maturity than at least 50% of us and maybe more) is completely excited about Mullin coming here, and has a great sense of what this means to the university and our basketball program. Nicely done, Jack.

Chris should give Calhoun a call. He lives much closer and has always loved the Big east. He doesn't seem like the type who would enjoy retirement.

Guys focus, focus. Stay on track. No way Calhoun would be consulted or be given any type of position at St. Johns.
To be honest I would be shocked if Louie would give his blessings on PJ coming here either.
There will be a lot of names out there, but this will sort out soon enough. Matt A will come Imo & Pinkney seems likely. Net of that, I'll wait to see how Slice plays out & not worry about other slots until then. Trusting Mullin to make right choices seems prudent.fwiw, despite what was written by Roger R in the NY Daily News, i am hearing ZERO interest from Book for an assistant position at SJU.

Not that I think it is happening, but yes I can see PJ getting his blessings. Calhoun is not leaving New England and definitely would do nothing to assist St. John's.
Chris and Easy Ed have been friends good friends for years. I recall the Holiday Festival (when it was still at least a good tournament) where both us and Nova were invited and had to play each other in the Championship. despite a 3" height difference, Mo had to guard Pinckney. Great game and great victory by St. John.s.

Someone needs to fix the damn Holiday Festival. It's a joke.
There's no reason it can't be a two day championship.
I've said this before but it should always be SJU and Syracuse, and then 1 A10 school and 1 MAAC school, with SJU and Cuse separated for the first game, and probably 9 times out of 10 they would play in the winners game on Sunday.

Wow, hard to imagine, and turns my stomach a bit, but at the end of the day, having Calhoun on the bench would be incredible.
