@AdamZagoria: .@GeorgetownHoops D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera Named #BigEast Player of the Week. Seton Hall's Angel Delgado named Rookie of the Week.

Sir'Dom made the Big East Honor Roll:

Don't know what the Gtown kid did but Sir Dom certainly was a stat sheet stuffer!

Complete home cooking in Big East so far. All home teams won with Xavier leading at half.
As we all knew, winning on the road is going to be what separates the teams.

CBS sports with their annual midseason reset. They pick us fourth in the BE, but have Providence going to NCAA tournament at #6, so we should be dancing too:

4. St. John's: Steve Lavin's club is among the better defensive outfits in all of college hoops, and probably the best personnel off the ball in the Big East. At 11-2, the Johnnies have victories over Minnesota, Syracuse and Saint Mary's. A three-game home stand from Feb. 21-28 against Seton Hall, Xavier and Georgetown will be what determines SJU's seeding in the league tourney. Sweep that, and fourth or better seems a lock.

Imagine if Hall beats Nova today and then Johnnie's do it Tuesday. That would turn the Big East on its ear.

Hall up big early, I'd say it's more important for Nova to win so we can get them with a higher rank on Tuesday.

Hall / Nova game recruits
Veer Singh ,TJ Gibbs, Trevon Duval, Ray Salnave, Myles Powell, Traci Carter,
Bryce Aiken, and Rawle Alkins
Quite the array.

With three kids we offered or targeted.

At half Nova down by 4 while shooting 28% from the field and 45% from the line.

Seton Hall has 16 team fouls already and they used 11 players in the first half. The foul trouble really seemed to make them have to change their plan, and they had a hard time adjusting

Nova is one of best teams in nation drawing fouls. It puts a ton of pressure on teams, especially when they make FTs. Expect Nova to shoot those better in second half & continue to put SH guys in foul trouble.

What type of D do you think we'll try on them? Ochefu has 12 boards in the first half, and of course they also have another inside presence with Pinkston.

Not sure. I suspect we will mix up man & zone. With one less quality guard and thin bench I don't think we can trap much. Tall task.

And here comes Nova. Was wondering how long this dominance by SH would last. Actually lasted longer than I thought. ;)
