It seems that BE ROY might come down to Garrett or Jordan at this point.. I know our fans would give the nod to Rysheed but, Garrett does have credentials too...

Anyone want to comment on who gets the nod here?

I'm a Jordan fan from pre-season, still am.. He's been the difference in turning our season around and has had big games during the stretch.. Garrett may have been more consistent over the total season but, not as spectacular. It's a tough call but, JORDAN is more an impact player than Billy.

Jordan, for reason cited. That said, remaining games will be interesting in determining winner.

Tough to match Garrett's BE Rookie of Week totals so unsure how the vote will go but undeniably if a draft is held by coaches...Jordan Rules!

Unfortunately sympathy votes do not count. Billy Garrett pretty much has the ROY rapped up because he has been consistent all year.

Xavier continues to skid, Nova destroyed them tonight at the pavilion.

DePaul/GTOWN on now on FS1

Fourth place is not impossible with a strong finish.

We'll catch Xavier. We have an easier schedule and can even them up with a win tonight and against them at MSG. Providence will be tougher to catch but still possible.

Xavier hasn't done squat this season in the big east. Haven't won much on the road other than DePaul, and got beat at home by seton hall. They will end year in sixth in big east standings, I am sure of it

It's not looking good for them right now. That SH loss could prove to be devestating. It cost them 11 spots in the RPI.

They had an easy conference schedule to start...I think first three games were at home. We had a very hard start and easy finish. We'll pass them...I think Gtown will as well.

Georgetown looked good against MSU. But boy was that game against DePaul last night Ugly

Depaul can do that to you...it was also a classic trap game. I'm more worried about Gtown than Xavier at this point. It's looking like Nova/Creighton 1-2, Providence 3, St. John's and Gtown fighting it out for 4/5, with Xavier six.

I hope Xavier gets that redshirt PF back because he's a good looking player and gives them another dimension in spit of what his stats might indicate. I'm sure he'll be back against us, but it'd be nice if they got him back after.

Careful what you wish for. 17 pts 16 boards...our bigs didn't have a prayer.I wish we could get a kid like that...put Justin Jackson on this team and nobody beats us.

You mean Jalen Reynolds?????

Who do we root for in the Georgetown vs Marquette game tonight?

I'd root for Marquette, as it won't be much clutter if G'town loses. Besides, Marquette still has to go to 'Nova and Providence. I feel they'll lose, at least, one (if not both) of those games. If we're tied with them, then we get the nod for the season sweep.

Definately the Hoyas because than Marquette would have to follow up with away games at Nova, and Providence and finish up with us at home!

I see a good argument both ways, but I think I'd rather have Marquette win this one for our purposes. After tonight, Georgetown has Creighton and @Nova left, so a loss tonight would pretty much stick a fork in their at large chances unless they were to win both of those games.

While it elevates Marquette's chances of finishing ahead of us in the conference standings, we control our own destiny against them, which I really like. Even if they do win an extra game than us in conference, I think if we swept them it would trump that. Plus, even with a win tonight, as MJD mentioned in another thread they have @Nova and @PC in addition to us. So, if we win our last 2 games to get to 10-8, them going 2-0 in those 2 games to get to 11-7 will be no small feat.

Marquette winning tonight is probably the less conservative strategy, but I think it has more upside in that it puts us in more control of which bubble teams from our conference we end up being in front of in the selection committee's eyes.

The Providence/Seton Hall game will be televised on CBS Sports Network (not FS1). My bad, earlier. By the way, the game is tonight.

@bluejaybanter: #Creighton opens up as a 3 point favorite at #Xavier tomorrow.

Our bad luck continues;

@JonRothstein: Seton Hall's Fuquan Edwin is out for tonight's game vs. Providence due to a sprained thumb, he tells @CBSSports....

That was fun while it lasted. :ngrin:

Seton Hall has been snake bit this year. Nothing seems to go right for them.
