Hall up 67-54 on gtown with six minutes left in the game.

Georgetown is finished. Unless they pull off upsets against the last four teams (all four teams left on schedule beat them in previous meetings) they are done.

And honestly, this team I'm watching looks like they've given up. Did we take the life out of them?

Could be a really good day for us. Gtown is off our backs...they were not a team wanted to be compared to if they went on a run.

Youngstown State just improved to 15-13 by beating a decent 16-11 Milwaukee team. Gonzaga is playing @ BYU in a one point game early. A loss by BYU at home would be devastating and their eleventh.

Also, San Fran is looking to get its 17th win up 17-12 on St. Mary's who is currently 19-8.

I wouldn't totally count them totally out, I could see them making a run in the BE Tourney.

I think people are under rating Seton Hall. They have played very well at times.

I agree. There not going to make the tourney. But if we played them in the first round of the BE tourney,I certainly would not pencil in a win. Even though we swept them ,we could have lost both games against them. What worries me is , who we play firs t round is going to be tough and getting bounced first round wouldn't look good. How ever being at MSG is an advantage and hopefully we could have our bid locked up before the BE tourney. One game at a time though. Tomorrow will be tough without CO. But it is winnable.

Xavier 2 point dogs @ G'town today.
Be nice to get some help.

First time in my life I may have to kind of hope for a Hoya win!! It even hurts to say.

I will disagree and hope Xavier wins. Increases their RPI for when we play them. Also rather have them coming off a W. And finally Gtown took a big hit against Hall. Instead of further muddying the middle of the pack if they lose it will make that picture a lot clearer.

You make a good point . One of the negatives against us is we only have 1 win against a top 50 rpi team. A win against Xavier w a relatively high rpi would help our resume.

Georgetown playing well today. Up 11 on Xavier.

A Georgetown win would be great for us

Edit: after posting this, I went back and read Moose's post on why an Xavier win would be good, and I agree with many of the points he made. An Xavier win would actually help us out a lot.

There are positives and negatives to each team winning.

Agree, Moose.

Although, I'm rooting for an Xavier win (which, looks less likely now since they are down by 21), but a G'town win could also help us.

If we beat Xavier; they lose to Creighton; and, we end up in tie with them, then we'll get the 3rd place. If G'town were to lose to Xavier, then that would help boost our RPI by beating Xavier. Not to mention, a loss would all but eliminate G'town from NCAA contention other than winning the Big East Tournament.

G'town last three games are gonna be tough (@ Marquette, vs. Creighton, and @ 'Nova), but they do get Creighton at home. Xavier also has a tough slate the remainder of the way (@ Us, vs. Creighton, @ Seton Hall, and vs. 'Nova).

No surprise, Xavier's only road wins in BE are DePaul and Butler. Only home loss was the Hall.

@BrendanPrunty: Official word that Sterling Gibbs is out today, per coach's decision. Have confirmed @NJHoopsHaven report that Gibbs was suspended today.
