Angel Delgado said he'll decide on his future within the next few weeks, after meeting with his family

Trying to interpret the avi. Has Lovett turned his back on the program and decided to walk away?

Pondering

Hope LoVett can reach a decision faster than this guy: he's been pondering for well over 100 years.
I interpeted the avatar as someone about to take a dump on our program :)

He does kind of resemble Lavin, especially the outfit.

70% of our teams make the big dance and then more than 50% don't survive the first round, not good. Injuries and all, BE has to start showing better in the Tourney, or at least survive the opening round.

Dayton, a team that has the "new BE" profile, lost in the first round too, but they got a bum matchup with Wichita State. I sure like their coach Archie Miller.

Comparing Apples to Apples, if you look at the matchups, the ACC, SEC and Big 12 teams in EVERY matchup were the higher seed except the 3 of the 8/9 games where they played each other. That stinks as far as I'm concerned and is an obvious bias favoring those darlings. Despite that, the only higher seeded Big East team that lost was Creighton. Undermanned /injured Xavier beat the higher seeded power football conference team and the Big East won the National Championship last season. Seems pretty respectable to me.

Providence had their game won, until they didn't and they also threw in a clunker in the BE tourney. Cartwright problematic at a PG, not a Cotton or Chris Dunn. Had tendency to blow leads all year.

Creighton lost their PG to injury early in the season but, also didn't hit their shots. Despite having questionable Awarded BE Frosh of year, Patton, they really never exploited his inside game. Hassan Martin showed what hard nosed, inside play is all about. Patton didn't seem to want that type of action. Which is why we need more Physical Players in the front court.

Seton Hall lost the game by mistakes and turnovers at crucial times. The Call on Rodriguez was debatable , looked like he attempted to grab the Arkansas player and he didn't push him, more like a trip as their ankles crossed. it looked worse than it was. The Arkansas kid also did a bit of NHL dive and acting. Call could have gone either way. Agree that Carrington, Desi, and Delgado played small at crucial points. Remember too, we beat Seton Hall the second time by wearing Delgado out and Arkansas did that too.

Just get the feeling that Villanova's overall lack of depth or size inside is going to cost them earlier rather than later in the tournament.

Nova is so adept at drawing fouls & avoiding committing them. That could be difference in long run.

What has cost them so far is poor play, little from Brunson, negative play from Jenkins, too much one on one and Koenig and Brown have shot well. But when you play D, which they do, you stay in the game.

DiVincenzo is having a great tournament so far. He is a better passer than I realized and a very good athlete.

BE experienced players coming up so small, horrible play by Hart. That was also an intentional on Hayes, let's see if they call it. No, absolutely horrible. Nova bad on the line, 1 for 2 three times in a row.

Basics, basics, basics, Bridges has to take the baseline there. Divencenzo coming to double from the middle. Another BE team that just imploded with the game on the line. Nova played one on one way too much. Much different team without Arcidiacono and Ochefu. Better team won, the 4th on Koenig gave Nova a chance but......,,,,,,,,,

Feel sorry for the Big East. Cant feel sorry for the team that ran up the score on us for no reason.

Feel sorry for what? The conference came up small, it happens in any one and done tournament. Plus you still have 2 teams playing.

Agree, but so far the BE has been disappointing. Won't help us with next year's selection committee for any teams in the BE on the bubble.

Pretty sure that has no bearing whatsoever. If the conference performs well with their out of conference schedule again next year, and once again have a top RPI, they'll be seeded just fine.

Big East needs to win its games when people are paying attention. Easy excuse to give them less bids in the future.

Agree. I'm just talking about any teams on the bubble.

Completely agree.

Funny, we talk about Nova being the cream of the Big East. But it's Xavier, not Nova, that has been the most consistent performer when it comes to the NCAA Tourney in recent years.

In the last 10 years (not counting this year) Xavier has been to the Big Dance every year except one and has made the Sweet 16 five times. Nova has made the Sweet 16 three times in that timeframe. Of course, Nova won the whole thing last year and has a coach who does Men's Dove commercials. But still....I'm thankful that Xavier is now in the Big East.
