Bottom line is Nova has been carrying the water in terms of national prominence in the BE. When they lose, BE looks real weak.

Maybe a pipe dream but would love to have Gonzaga and St mary's. To stay nationally relevant, I believe BE will need to expand and don't believe Dayton or St.Louis are the answer.

To stay relevant, it would help if the teams in our 3 huge markets, St. John's (NY), Georgetown (DC), and DePaul (Chicago) were competitive.

Anyone who knows anything about ball knew Wisconsin was a very tough matchup for Nova yet the talking heads keep referring to it as shocker. Not at all, Wisconsin has bigs, experience, a great clutch player in Koenig and a player in Hayes who matched up very well with Hart. Hart had a good game, he is a heck of a player, but he could not take over down the stretch as he has done so many times. Nova was lucky that Happ and Keinig both got in foul trouble which probably kept them in the game. Just a horrible 1-8 matchup for Nova. To Moose, the more I watch the more I agree with your feelings about the refereeing, beyond horrible with constant inconsequential calls off the ball and "guess" calls way too many times. Last point, if the intentional on Rodriguez is called which I think it should have been, how was the Hayes grab of Divencenzo not called? Rodriguez's, IMO, was lazy but in a fouling situation which every ref has dealt with many times. Hayes' was clearly in the context of a game still very much in doubt and more egregious that Rodriguez's.

Agree with all your points. As an aside, I feel Nova could have been better served on that last play by having ball in Brunson's hands. He was dominating his defender, drawing fouls, scoring or finding open man. Certainly Hart is great & a senior, but Brunson was a better choice IMO.

Echoing Kenny Smith's sentiments of 15 minutes ago. Great minds think alike.

You know what, I was thinking Divencenzo but Brunson was probably the better choice. He went with Hart which can't be knocked but I agree with you especially since Hayes had swallowed Hart up a possession or two before that.

Maybe Phil Jackson will promise Jay Wright he will pick Brunson even if Lonzo Ball is still available.

Doug Gottlieb was hired by Fox Sports 1.

Fox trying to corner the market on uber idiot announcers. Let's pair him with Bayless for the worst sports experience one could have!
