I think Marquette is on shaky ground.
Seton Hall has eliminated Nova from 2 of the last 3 Big East Tournaments. The Wildcats also look scared of Delgado. This rarely happens to Nova, but the mental edge in this game may actually belong to Seton Hall.
Don't think the Hall or anyone else has a mental edge on those Nova kids. So tough. Remember that Nova destroyed the Hall twice this year, on the same level they pounded us on Thursday. I think the law of averages caught up with Nova to an extent. They shot so well against the Hall in prior games, and so well against us yesterday, that they were due for an absolute stinker. And yet they still get the W.
Big East Tournament attendance seemed good. 1st night featuring bottom feeders - 14K+. Last 2 nights sellouts.
Very good, especially for a 10 team league.

My unscientific analysis of ticket prices on seat geek shows a clear edge to the BET for tonight. 200's are mid $200's for BET and mid $100's for ACC.
Their fans did out bid us for yesterday by about the same difference. BET beat them on Thursday and Wednesday too.
Kudos to BE leadership for winning this battle. Great job by fans too. Despite losing down the stretch our friends from Xavier brought in their highest number of fans this year - I may be slightly biased as I have been surrounded by them.
Not BE but just watched end of Albany-Vermont. Vermont up 4 with .9 seconds left, Albany inbounds and Vermont fouls 3 point shooter with .3 seconds left. Fortunately for Vermont the shot missed and they held on for the win. But how stupid can you possibly be? Up 4 with less than a second to go let them shoot the 3 uncontested as even if it goes in you win. Only way to lose game is foul on made three, hit the free throw and lose in OT. Have seen this happen countless times (contesting the 3) even in the NBA and it totally blows my mind. Just the stupidest strategy or lack there of in any sport.
Two defenders were all over the shooter so I guess they both made dumb plays. Please reread my post, as I stated I have seen this numerous times and even in the NBA. Lot's of incredibly dumb plays being made out there. Not BE but just watched end of Albany-Vermont. Or just a dumb play by a kid playing on emotion and not thinking.

How can this guy be taken seriously? Saying he doesn't know if Mullin came into a tough situation at St. Johns. Saying the Mullin name has zero credibility in the NYC highschool basketball scene.. I would love to punch this guy like Kendall Gill did a few years back.

Intelligent no doubt Tim Doyle but he clearly is missing some facts when it comes to Georgetown and SJU. When Esherick was canned his recruiting class that he left for JTIII included Green and Hobert amongst others , both high first round picks , as well as leaving a complete roster.
When Lavin was canned he left Mullin Amar , Félix and CJ. That was the complete roster he left.
Other than when the coach at Baylor $$$$$$$ was canned for assisting in covering up a murder I am hard pressed to think of a coach who inherited a worse situation than coach Mullin.
Just be fair in your assessment.
