X putting it to Gtwn

No kidding, Xavier outscored the Hoyas 51 to 25 in the second half! G'town had a 13 point lead at HT. Josh Smith DNP again.

Once Xavier shut down the 3 and went to the press they got back into it... also helps that they went to the line 22 times compared to Hoyas 8.

Villanova, Creighton and Xavier are the class of the league. I don't think there is much difference between the rest of the teams including Georgetown. We just made them look good.

They're also down 2 starters since they wiped the floor with us. Smith (academics) and Trawick (broken Jaw).

I know that neither one had great games against us, but it still hurts Gtown to have those guys out.

Seton Hall beat Georgetown on the road. Anyone think that will be an easy game?

Ummmmmmm.... No game is considered "easy" when you're 1/4 through the conference season and still shooting an O'fer.

big win for the hall today against G-town and Providence winning nicely against Creighton.

Cotton is the real deal.. Hope one day we can get a win against a meaningful opponent - would be nice..

kinda unbelievable that, at this point, we have not one good win we can point too. Cooley recruited some studs for sure..

Got home from the game a little while ago and turned on the Providence/Creighton game. PC is putting a hurting on Creighton. Maybe we got beat by a legit team.
Also, Melissa in the ticket dept. ROCKS!

Cotton reminds me of Hardy

This conference is so backwards right now. Providence taking Creighton to the shed.

No easy wins. Depaul and SH are better than anyone expected.
Providence was my surprise team to watch, as I thought they were the most underrated and had the most potential. That was before they lost Austin--who I love--and Dunn. Harris looks like a legit NBA prospect to me. I've always loved Henton's game and Cotton can go go off any given night.

I think Providence will be a tournament team if they win three of the next four very winnable games.

Both heady, well schooled players. do folks realize Cotton played 50 minutes against us recently? Talk about being in shape, he never comes out & produces.

@AdamZagoria: Bryce Cotton of Providence is the Big East Player of the Week and Billy Garrett Jr. Of DePaul is ROW

@NJHoopsHaven: Just saw the latest Top 25. Villanova is up to 4th. Creighton is out (26th). UConn 27th.

Creighton big Wragge is hitting 3s from the parking lot vs Villanova. Beautiful basketball being played.

You can't win in D1 without being able to shoot from the outside.

Creighton 21
Villanova 5

FS1

Could you send a email to STEVE with your quote..He needs to realize shooting the ball into the hoop is a virtue, not a vice. Creighton bulldozing Nova with 3's.

The Creightoin v. Villanova game is on and Creighton is lighting it up 47 to 21 with 7 minutes left in the first half.

For those of you not watching... one of the Creighton guys went 7-7 from the 3pt line in the first 7 minutes of the game...

Very good use of that shooter, putting him on the same side of the floor as McDermott, so Villanova has a hard decision to make whether to double up on McDermott or not.
