I wonder if a conference has ever had 4 teams in the Top 10, I am sure it's happened, but it not, how great would it be for the conference if we could do that.

Creighton is putting up ridiculous offensive #'s. 5th in NCAA in scoring 90.8, 2nd in FG% & 3rd in 3-point shooting (82/184 = 44.6%).

Butler falls 72-71 at Indiana State, first loss.
How many did Bird have? :) At least they are not afraid to schedule local rivals. Not saying we are or have been. ;) ;) ;)

Fordham tomorrow night. LIU (does anyone remember Albie Grant or Larry Newbold?) on Sunday.

I knew him I worked out with the LIU variety at times . Albie and I used to go down to the Gym for which he had the keys late at night and played a little one on one That was over 50 yrs ago

Off topic, but Albie, a 6-4 bruiser (or at least that's how I remember him, that and being nice, very quiet, and well-liked) lived on the same block as my cousins in the Van Nest section of the Bronx. Grew up in a less-than-ideal circumstances: the only black family on the block, no mom, a strict dad who kept to himself, and, from what I remember, a seemingly mentally challenged younger brother ... although, as Albie's reputation at Columbus HS grew, the kids on the block came to idolize him. But Albie, who excelled on the court at LIU with a career double-double, went on to earn a medical degree in Spain and also taught high school in New York, Sadly, he died from diabetes at age 60 in 2004.

Not BE but since we were battling them for a couple of recruits a few years ago under Lavin worth a mention. Grand Canyon U just upset San Diego St. at home in front of a raucous sell out crowd.Their coach Dan Majerle really has that program going. Better arena, better crowd, better student support and probably a better team. who would have thunk it!

'94 or '04?

I stand corrected (and humbled). Albie died (though no less sadly) in 2004. Will correct my post. Afraid as I grow older, I have greater difficulty with decade recognition. :(

Xavier lost on road to Colorado last night in close one

Creighton beat Nebraska.

''Real sorry to hear that hot only was he tough to play against he was a real nice person Rest in peace albie

Creighton up 100-51 with 6 minutes left against Longwood. They've already started emptying the bench.

Well, with a 49-point lead and 6 minutes to go, that doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Even with the bench players in, with less than two minutes remaining, McDermott was seen on TV coaching one of those bench guys on the floor with his whiteboard during a brief delay.

Little things like that make a Top 10 team.

I think there were many, including myself, who thought they were in for a tough time in the Big East once his son left for the NBA. Well, that was totally wrong.

Providence beats UMass & Nova over Notre Dame. Josh Hart had 37 points, 11 rebounds for Villanova.

DePaul lost to Temple in front of a crowd that couldn't have filled a high school gym. They are an unwatchable mess. Dayton would be so much better. A big market is irrelevant if you have a dreadful product. They must be hurting the TV numbers.
In an unrelated matter, Chris Jones might play a few minutes in today's Duke - UNLV game. He missed five games. He was averaging 14 and seven prior to foot injury. This will be the first college game played in the new T-Mobile Arena. Sold out a few days ago - 17,600.
