The Big East is now 16 wins and 1 loss to out of conference opponents.

Tomorrow Butler plays Northwestern in the Gavett Challenge.

While nothing will beat the old big east as far as being a fan for me I couldn't be happier with how things have turned out for the conference in light of all the poaching that happened

Second that big time. The BE members left standing made very wise decisions with the first round of expansion. Let's hope any future expansion is just as good.

Creighton really really looked impressive tonight. Kudos to them.
Ugggg If the Hoyas didn't choke vs MD we'd be 3-0 vs. the B1G, damn that would have been a big time statement vs. a P5 conf, but oh well.
Butler turn tonight @ home vs N'western, lets make it 3-1

BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible coaching job by GT3. I think this might be his last season at G'town.

I'm not saying jt3 is a good coach but that last minute meltdown wasn't on him. First a hoya slipped on a wet spot on the court, travel, next Peak stepped out of bounds in the backcourt trying to break the press, third a hoya made a terrible play fouling while trying to get the ball on a long Md. inbounds pass in to their backcourt.

One slip and two straight brain freeze plays aren't on jt3.

Per Rothstein;

Creighton's Khryi Thomas looking like he's in line for a breakout sophomore year. Had 18 points in eight shots against Wisconsin. Athlete.

Remember development like this year when we expect too much out of gate with guy like Freudenberg. With seasoning he will be fine. The game is much faster than he used to, but he will adapt.

One thing that's proven in all these games is the importance of guards, and we have some of the best young guards around, as well as depth at guard. It will bode well for us as the season rolls on and over the coming years.

Many thought after McDermott went pro Creighton would fade. With their great fan support, recruitment of solid players (not five star kids), integration of transfers & unselfish play, they have a solid program. They beat #9 Wisconsin at home tonight by 12.

The most important McDermott at Creighton is coach McDermott. ;)

Left a TO in his pocket.

That's a crucial mistake for a coach in a game like that...

First play was bang-bang, the guy slipped just after he got the ball, the second was also very quick as Peak received the ball in the corner, tried to dribble by two defenders and stepped out of bounds, the last was a md.ball so he couldn't call a to.

How many times have you seen a to called late in the game and it backfires? He called one just before the whole sequence started when the hoyas had the ball, md. had no tos left. All that to did was let md. set their defense and it resulted in a to.

Now maybe their last offensive possession he could have called a to with about 7.8 sec to go. But aren't one of the asst. coaches supposed to keep the head coach informed of the to situation? By that time the whole bench and team had the deer in the headlights look.

Several times in a row they inbounded the ball into a corner. I don't think they got out of the corner once in the last minute. Even a grammar school coach could draw up a play for that. For the most part the players hit there free throws so I don't think you can blame them.
I was happy with the direction JT3 has taken that program, but against Maryland he embraced himself.

Seton Hall open as 1.5-point underdogs at Iowa.

Wonder what Minnesota/SJU line will be. Getting 5?

He did call a time out, all that did was allow md. to set up their defense, they were out of tos.

From casualhoya.com

Georgetown senior forward Reggie Cameron may have played his final game for the Hoyas, multiple sources tell Casual Hoya’s Ben Standig.

According to a school official contacted by Casual Hoya, Cameron is “taking a leave of absence from the team” with “no length determined at this point.”

Transfer from Robert Morris, Rodney Pryor, has eaten into his minutes.
