This crew is partying hard in South Orange tonight.

Somewhere a few of those dudes are probably getting laid tonight. Any Viagra peddlers are making bank tonight in the surrounding areas.

I had to keep myself from falling out of my chair from laughing so hard.

Great game, worthy of the old Big East contests. A real Seton Hall - SJU rivalry would be a great thing for this market, hope it happens.

An enthusiastic sell out last night was just what this league needed with the football conferences coming in the next couple of years.

It looks like the league is ready to defend their turf.

It will be fun during the next couple of seasons as there will be a lot of trash talking between these leagues

Now we need to see a couple of teams go deep in the big tournament

Big East All-Tournament Team: Trevon Bluiett, Josh Hart, Kris Jenkins, Khadeen Carrington, Ismael Sanogo, and MVP Isaiah Whitehead.

Disappointed in Josh Hart last night. With 31 seconds and a two point lead he held the ball awaiting a foul, instead the Hall got possession after a five second call. Arciadiacono was wide open by half court. IMHO, Hart was looking to be a hero and put the game away with two foul shots.
And I have no doubt Hart was fouled at the end of the game putting up a rebound, heck three Hall players were all over him.

I noticed the same thing, in reference to Hart holding onto the ball when he could've gotten rid of it. I said to myself, Hart was playing "hero ball."

I also thought Hart was fouled there at the end of the game. I saw a couple of Hall players hit his wrist and forearm. The refs certainly swallowed their whistles.

Watching NCAA selection show. None of the announcers are picking Villanova to make the sweet sixteen. Surprising.

Where did SJ get sent...don't tell me out west

not surprising, because of last couple of tournaments, In fact some knuckleheads are picking Asheville

Georgetown is familiar with UNC-Asheville. I think 'Nova will win that one, though.

Kenpom:

Villanova over UNC Asheville 77 to 64 with a 90% chance of victory

Xavier over Weber State 80 to 68 with a 86% chance of victory

Seton Hall over Gonzaga 73 to 72 with a 51% chance of victory

Butler over Texas Tech 75 to 74 with a 51% chance of victory

Providence College over USC 76 to 75 with a 51% chance of victory

This one is odd to me--6'9 2015 PF Alex O'Neill gets his release at Creighton although he redshirted this yr. Don't hear of that too often.

Nice for BE to hear finalists for the Naismith Coach Of The Year Award are Bill Self, Tom Crean, Chris Mack & Jay Wright.

I found these numbers pretty interesting.

According to 247 Recruiting:

2013-2016 - Average Grade of Signed/Committed Players for Each Conference
1) ACC - 90.68
2) Big East - 89.60
3) SEC - 89.05
4) Pac-12 - 88.78
5) Big Ten - 88.37
6) Big 12 - 88.21
7) AAC - 83.49
) A-10 - 79.66

Takeaways:
1) The Big East is as much as a power conference as any.
2) UCONN fans are lying when they say the AAC is at the same level as the Big East.

Creighton lost last night in the third round of the NIT. A good little run for the jays, who add a stud Kansas state transfer to their starting line up and also a five star recruit at center who redshirted this season to gain weight and bulk up. On top of that they return their great point guard and that kid Cole Huff who dropped 36 on Seton Hall in the BET. The Jays will most definitely dance next season

Per Mike Hopkins;
Sacred Heart’s Cane Broome likely to visit Providence and Creighton soon, per @DaveBorges #pcbb #RollJays @becb_sbn

High scoring transfer guard under recruited initially.

Read somewhere that Providence really wants this kid
