Nice win for Xavier

Agree, good day for the league; won the games they "should" and the 2 swing games, Marquette and Xavier.

Not over yet. DePaul hosts 7-0 Arkansas-Little Rock at 10:00. Won't be an easy game.

If anyone watches it would be greatly appreciated if you let me know how Kenny Osse plays. His older brother Nelson is one of the heads of the Brookwood Elite AAU Program that one of my sons plays for. He is also the coach who spoke to Rawle last summer and told me that we are in great shape with Rawle.
Thanks in advance.

Stating the obvious, Butler is much improved offensively, averaging 90+/game, Beat Vols by putting 94 on board in win today.

If they could combine this year's offense with last year's defense they'd go 40-0.

.BE teams in the USA Today Coaches' Poll this week:

10. Xavier
13. Villanova
14. Providence
18. Butler
42. Georgetown

Don't know what I found more surprising, that Myles Davis (Xavier) is still in college. Or that he is only a Jr.

Don't let the bald spot fool you. He looked like that when he was a Jr. In high school

New Big East is 8-0 against Old Big East this season:

SJU over Syracuse
Georgetown over Syracuse
Providence over B.C.
Butler over Cincinnati
Xavier over Cincinnati
SJU over Rutgers
Seton Hall over Rutgers
Creighton over Rutgers

Actually, very surprising - my son played against him when Davis was in HS at St. Peter's of Jersey City and Davis was a year ahead of him then. My son is 23 and out of college for 2 years.

Davis just turned 22 in November -http://goxavier.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=2105&path=mbball

Maybe we're thinking of Myles Mack? He's 9 months older? ;)

That's my bad, we played St Peter's in the states two years in a row and when Davis was not there the 2nd year I assumed he graduated - not the case, he prepped. I stand corrected!!!!!

This Saturday is huge for the conference. Every Big East team is in action (except for SJU) and games include:

#12 Nova @ #8 Virginia
#17 Butler vs #9 Purdue
Auburn @ # 10 Xavier
Creighton @ #3 Oklahoma
and more...

Tough games but a good opportunity to solidify how good the Big East has done in non-confernence play this year.
