Looks like we'll be seeing them in prime time slots a lot this season. I assume St. Leo's is still on the schedule?

I remember when you could almost guarantee that the final four in the NIT would all be top 10 teams. Too much competition these days.

No doubt and should stay that way with Chris Mack's retention. Both Johnny wins last year were very impressive against that competition.
 
Funny. I don't think that tourney started until the mid '80s but some of the matchups after I first moved to the city in 85 were just awesome. Specifically remember the Cuse crew dismantling a top Indiana team one year. My bad. Thought you were talking about the traditional post-season NIT (which did have a few top 10 teams as recent as the early 1970s), not the "new" pre-season tournament. :oops:

Obviously early but some of the Midwest schools that were recently added to the BE are helping to carry this conference.

I think 2 biggest takeaways from first 2 years of new BE:
1. Nova is dominating
2. The 3 newcomers (Creighton, Xavier, Butler) were fantastic additions, having reached Tournament 66% of time.

The question I have for Xavier is will their fans ever show up at MSG in March? They bring about 400 people. Maybe they want the tourney to move to Cincinnati

If it does move to Cincy there would be a lot less than 400 SJU fans showing up.
 
@Matt_Velazquez: #mubb freshman Haanif Cheatham hasn't yet been cleared by the NCAA per @MarquetteMBB. He'll travel to Italy w/ team but can't play in games.
