With Lovett in the fold I feel differently. We can compete for a tournament

Haha welcome to my small but growing group. I've been in charge for two years. Please see Marco Baldi for your ID badge and Amaseinyourface will give you the uniform.

Stay away fron Jumbo_Peanuts. Paultzman has new member orientation every other Friday.

Pointer, Harrison and Greene replaced by Williams, Johnson and Lovett.
Still like last year's team a lot more.

What about Ellison, Mvouika, and Sima? Plus the added experiences of our returnees?

I don't see the latter 2 being a factor at all this season.

Gotchya I just think people are writing off Mvouika as a non contributor too easily. He averaged 7 and 3.5 in 18 minutes. Thats 14 and 7 over 36 minutes. Do people realize how productive that is? He scored 28 @ norther Iowa! He can shoot and he is experienced.

He also had absurd averages at a stellar Hungtington Prep school (25 ppg) and his soph year at a good JUCO (like 20 ppg). Really the only year he didn't do extremely was his first year at JUCO (was still good) and his first year with a very solid 18-win MVC team. I wouldn't be surprised if he was better than we all thought, but I'm going to forecast him as a sixth or seventh man with anything else being a very pleasant surprise.

Yup and a solid bench players with size and shooting are worth their weight in gold!

LOOK i liked last yrs team but honestly what did they accomplish. To me the team that Mullin has put together is better. Just an opinion which only time will tell. But whatever they do you will have to compare it to lasts yr team accomplishments but bend a little toward the new team because they have not played together. I feel we are in for some good times

Without rysheed Jordan this team won't make the tournament. Once again shade is thrown at last years team saying what did they accomplish. I'm really excited for the future but this years team should not be given unreasonable expectations. Rysheed Jordan at point with Lovett backing him up and I thought maybe we can sneak into the tournament. Now, no way in hell

Another National Championship for the Big East. Denver wins the NCAA Lacrosse National Title today. Yes I said Denver :p

Two former Ivy League coaches in the game today. Easier to win when your kids don't have to pass admissions of Princeton and Harvard and you can give out rides.

Tierney did win six NCAA titles at Princeton.

We would be better off with a dedicated Jordan this coming season but the ball is in his court.

He did. My brother played at Cornell during that era, but it feels like he Ivy League is now in the rear view to the other schools with more resources and/or lower academic standards.

Good point as Cornell was another Ivy that had a consistently real good program.

The way the game has spread so fast the last decade doesn't help either. Denver has kids from Florida, Tennessee, Ohio, Cali, and more kids from Canada than any state. The Cornell and Syracuse rosters were like 80%+ NY and NJ. The game is really spreading.

There were still 4 Ivy League teams in the top 15 of the Lax Power rankings this year, though I take your point about academic standards. That said LAX is historically pretty much a privileged kind of sport so the academic standards don't mean as much as in say football.

Most people are not aware that lacrosse is the the national game in Canada, not hockey.

Wasn't Brown one of the teams up there this year?

@GreggDoyelStar: The 6-10 Brunk, a top-150 center from Southport, picked Butler over IU, Purdue, Xavier, Michigan St, UIndy. He's been telling coaches today.

Big pickup for Butler.

@jeffborzello: No. 63-ranked 2016 prospect Joey Brunk has committed to Butler. 6-10 center from Indianapolis.

Great get for them.
They're gonna be awfully good this this year, even before his arrival.

Always great to hear basketball news Thanks for being on top of things

@jeffborzello: Xavier has landed Norfolk State transfer RaShid Gaston.

Big man averaged 15.5 ppg and 9.6 rpg last season. Sit one, play one. Good pickup.
