Around the Big East

Would love to get Michigan State early on.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Georgetown vs Maryland

Rutgers.

That would absolutely suck if we got Rutgers.

If they're not already scheduled, I'd make Seton Hall play Rutgers.

Seton Hall already plays Rutgers yearly.
You want to recruit Jersey hard?
Put a hurting on State U.

Disagree.

Big time Jersey recruits don't give Rutgers the time of day.

Playing Rutgers doesn't move the needle for us recruiting-wise nor RPI-wise.

Nova / Neb? Until we take it from them, Nova is the cream of the BE. Why would they be playing at home vs a relative cream puff of Big 10?

One theory is that because Philadelphia is hosting the East Regional next year, Villanova wants to limit the number of games played at the Wells Fargo Center so they could potentially be placed in the East Region of the tournament. By playing a lesser opponent, they could have that game on campus. Personally, I would have Villanova play an away game at one of the Big 10 heavyweights.

Becase the big 10 doesn't want one of their top programs being shown up.

@JonRothstein: Indiana will host Creighton as part of the first ever Big East-Big Ten Challenge, source told @CBSSports. Date and time is TBD. #iubb

@NYPost_Brazille: At least Big East-Big Ten Challenge got one game right with Georgetown-Maryland. That's very good.

@BSnowScout: B1G v Big East
Xavier @ Michigan
Creighton @ Ind
Rutgers @ St. John's
Ill @ Prov
Neb @ Nova
Penn St vs DePaul
Iowa vs Marquette
G'town vs MD

@WojYahooNBA: Yahoo Sources: Providence guard Kris Dunn, a possible lottery pick, plans to return for his junior season.http://t.co/yhTtLUlMjB

Wow. If true great news for the league. I hope he stays healthy, he's taking somewhat of a risk.

Interesting how he may be coming back and yet the Harrison twins--neither of whom are projected in the first round and one of whom isn't projected to be drafted at all--are declaring.

He will also get his degree next year, so there is that. Like I said there is a big insurance policy for future earnings if he gets hurt.

It's not even that. While I think it's highly unlikely, there is the possibility of his having a poor season, and playing himself out of the first round, or possibly off the board totally. Remember Chris Thomas from Notre Dame, around a decade or so ago? He was a boderline lottery pick as a sophomore, but stayed for his final two years, and went undrafted.

While I doubt that happens to Dunn, you just never know for sure. That's why, if a kid is a certain first round pick, I never begrudge him for leaving.

Good point. I remember Chris Thomas and that whole situation. He was fun to watch
