Had a great season.

Has always been projected as a first round pick, and with his injury history, he really couldn't afford to take a chance.

This is one that I totally understand.
 
OIt appears Dunn going pro is not true.

2 of our worst teams had the best attendance. Shows you market saturation / pro competition is a big factor. Would like to think we could have made top 60 in a year we made the tourney though.

Or the fact that they have a strong tradition help to sustain numbers and our lack of recent historical success is why we were rank 66th. you cant expect to have 1 good year and attract fans

Maybe in the old Big East but can't afford them underachieving in the new Big East. I root for everyone else in the league because ultimately it'll help SJU.
 
Good for the league; good for Georgetown; good for the player (needs another year and this is supposedly a deep draft).

Great read from the Providence Journal focusing on their AD Bob Driscoll. Before the Cooley hiring people were calling for his job. Now with all the recent success at PC, he is being praised for what he has done for the athletic programs. One can only hope that the Mullin hiring does the same for Monasch.

Providence College appears to be the only varsity program however the following Big East schools do have club teams:
Villanova
Georgetown
Xavier
Creighton
Seton Hall
Butler
Marquette
DePaul
