Around the Big East

Nice win by Marquette over Illinois. Curbelo not great , he has trouble handling pressure and doesn’t shoot the three well. I would take Posh any day. Illinois played without Cockburn though. Marquette missed 13 free throws, if they hit their freebies could have won by a lot more.

Not easy to say, but let's go Friars!

What's not easy to say is let's go yuk.................  Told you it's not easy to say./media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png

We need to keep it up if only to prevent the Big Ten from getting the massive overrating they did last year come tourney time.  Better they start talking about the big East!

Won’t be easy getting to 12 BE wins this year. Of course it never is but we’ve gotta be aiming for it with this roster.

I know it's really early, but the BE is starting to look and feel like a bear this season. Brutally tough every game. Let's get this Indiana game tomorrow!

We have to remember that Marquette won because kofi cockburn was not playing but this is a good win for the big East

Not the only reason they won.  A good team should have other players that can get it doine.  Curbelo was awful and Illinois didn’t have a lot of other firepower.  Marauette’s defense under Shaka gave them trouble all game.

In that case, it might have been "Let's go Badgers!"

Creighton closing out Nebraska to make BE 3-0 so far in Gavitt Games. The cast changes at Creighton, but McDermott can really coach, especially on offense.

Pumped the Big East has had the great start I can in no way root for Seton Hall next game. Let them rot

Hmm. Have to think about that. As much as I hate them, going 4-0 against the B10 is very inviting.

i find it difficult too.  Truth be told, they look really good.  Both teams very technical half-court teams.  The Hall will be a handful once again.  We have to concentrate on us.  Get as many teams possible into the tourney.  Beating the crap out of the Big Ten is a good step and likely wouldn’t preclude any of us from making the tourney because we take a leap up as a conference and likely get more teams in.  IMO, the Hall definitely a tourney team.
