Solid preview. I think he nailed the starting lineup. Was hoping moore would win the starting 5 spot but I think Roberts extra mass he put on this offseason gives him the edge.

I also think Earlington will make one of those all big east teams as well.

I really like this team this year. Going to be a fun season.

If 9th excites you this much I can’t imagine what 2nd would do to you

For my money, these guys do the most in-depth conference previews around by far. They're really fair and they LOVE mid-major and low-major leagues so when they talk about transfers like Caraher, Dunn and Toro, they're not just talking out of their ass. They really did a deep dive into Caraher's Houston Baptist team or Dunn's St. Francis teams and they're actually familiar with those guys. Just huge college basketball nerds which is saying something on this board.

While I think we finish higher than 9th. I do think they're pretty on the money about their assessment of things. We know that Anderson is going to make our guys hustle and play tough D. Our season will come down to how well we shoot as a team and if we can win on the road. I think we're gonna be sitting on the bubble (hopefully on the good side) at 6th or 7th assuming this season resembles a semi-normal one which...who knows.

This is the most in-depth well put together preview I've ever seen. I enjoyed reading it, the author really did his research on every team, that's refreshing to see as most people that do previews these days really only know about the top teams and/or top players and can't tell you much about the role players.

With NCAA expected to announce a start date for college basketball today, I’m told Big East has a league-wide meeting set for tomorrow to discuss scheduling conference and non-conference games.

Big East held a scheduling meeting today for basketball. Told consensus is they will not go past 20 league games. #bigeasthoops

Right now, the Gavitt Games and Big 12-Big East challenge hasn't been ruled out, yet it appears Big 12 is more likely to happen then Gavitt. #bigeasthoops

There were a lot of mixed options of when to play league games and how to do so, in bubbles, pods or otherwise. League wants to get conference format done first. #bigeasthoops

Lastly, told Big East won't be restricting number of non-conference games schools will play. They will leave it up to each program. #bigeasthoops

Another scheduling meeting has been set for tomorrow late afternoon. #bigeasthoops

Big East will have an AD's meeting tonight, another scheduling meeting tomorrow, a coaches/AD meeting tomorrow and presidents meeting Monday. Urgency to get conference schedule done first so teams can begin to figure out non-conference. #bigeasthoop

2021 four-star Kok Yat has committed to DePaul.

The Blue Demons now have the #4 Ranked Recruiting Class.

A lot of people have talked about DePaul getting all these good players.

But has anyone asked why these players are going to a school that has sucked for 2 decades running and play for a coach who has had 1 winning season since 2007

Only the rumors that their assistant coaches Hsu, Heirman have questionable tactics. Hsu's more publicized, but here is Heirman allegation

DePaul, St. John's, Providence, Seton Hall, and other high-major D1 Hoops programs would be ideal prey for the NCAA on one of its pound-the-chest, 'we wipe out corruption campaigns' that leave the true criminal programs untouched.

Yeah, something stinks. In addition to having an abysmal record with three different programs (Northeastern, Virginia, DePaul), he has never shown to be an elite recruiter. Now, all of a sudden, top kids want Leitao and DePaul?

He already began last season suspended due to a recruiting violation. I wonder if he knows this is his last opportunity and is just willing to throw caution to the wind.

DePaul has new AD, from U of Kentucky. New AD may be on totally by the books, but still knows how game is played in general given he was at UK. Probably would like to hire his own coach, and if there weren't COVID financial impacts to schools, may have moved even quicker. Maybe Letaio thinks he's got a shot at extension with the recruiting class.

This past season, Donovan Clingan emerged as one of 2022’s top-rated big men. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the 7-foot-1 big out of Bristol Central in Connecticut landed scholarship offers from nearly ten programs. He started the contact period just having six scholarship offers but that number doubled once coaches began recruiting him and speaking with him.

Clingan says recently he’s talked with head coaches from UConn, Notre Dame, Rutgers, and Georgetown.

I asked him what his relationship is like with UConn coach Danny Hurley, who was one of the first coaches to spark interest in Clingan, his answer: Great. He [Hurley] saw him several times this past season, capping it off with attending a game where Clingan competed against Hurley’s younger son.

“He loves my game and tells me choosing UConn would be the best decision of my life.”

Then you got the team-up scenarios that everyone attempts to come up with as guys are committing and being recruited by different schools. With that, I asked Clingan who he has talked about possibly teaming-up with at the college level.

His answers?

“Avery Brown, Kyle Cuffe Jr, and Matt Curtis.”

UConn working Cuffe hard apparently

Picked up Lindy's College Basketball magazine today and perused the Big East summaries. Pretty on-the-mark, although the final edit must have been a while ago since the late conference commits were missing. It minimized impact of Figueroa's departure and ended with, "St. John's will, once again, be a pain to play against, and could well find itself on the NCAA Tournament bubble."

The Big East is exploring having its teams play four regular season conference games during the month of December
