Around the Big East

But as Arkansas fans came here and pointed out, CMA was getting big time recruits at Arkansas. He had top recruiting classes in recent years. So what really is the issue?
I thought Musselman came in and he immediately started getting recruits that CMA was not getting?
From what I’ve read, it doesn’t seem like CMA and Hsu’s recruiting styles work together

Taller just as bald version of Matt.

Still think its at least a year too early to show your levels of concern about cma recruiting but hey it seems like it floats a bunch of peoples boats here. I just cant wait until this 2020 class proves coach and staff know what they are doing lol.
Can't remember the uproar about Mens Tournament at MSG
That's because we are rarely a threat to win the BET even with "home court" advantage. Rest assured if back in the day they decided to hold the T in the Carrier Dome every year there would have been an uproar because Syracuse would actually take advantage of the home court and probably win the T half the time.

I forget the exact number but it was in part because big east teams at the time had way more than 250,000 alums in the nyc metro area, maybe as many as 1 million but I forget. Still is true, plus NYC is a destination and many big east alums make an annual trip to the bet.

Members of the Big East have put in a lot of work already with the 2021 class, and that is reflected by the Rivals.com Team Recruiting Rankings where four of the conference's programs boast a top-16 class.

Villanova boasts the second-ranked class nationally behind only Florida State and the Wildcats could actually make the leap to the top of the rankings if Trevor Keels picks Jay Wright's program. Regardless, the Wildcats remain the face of the league and that should remain the case for next several years thanks to a class that will likely go down as one of Wright’s best.

Not only should UConn compete for a top-three finish in the Big East this season, but the Huskies should also be in contention to be among conference's best over the next five years. The Huskies have a tremendous weapon in James Bouknight but, even if he leaves for the NBA in the spring, an entirely retooled backcourt featuring Rahsool Diggins and Jordan Hawkins should be enough to uphold the new and improved culture in Storrs. The Huskies are rolling.

DePaul sits with three Rivals150 commitments that should all make a quick impact on the Blue Devils' program. Charlie Moore’s graduation and the potential two-and-done campaign of Romeo Weems could sting Dave Leitao’s squad but David Jones, Ahamad Bynum and Keon Edwards will soften that blow. Optimism is warranted for Blue Demon fans, who haven't seen a winning Big East record since 2007.

Fans of the Seton Hall program haven’t become entirely accustomed to seeing their program ranked highly in recruiting rankings but are used to watching top-25 squads in the national polls. They may get both thanks to a solid three-person class that should do well under Kevin Willard’s watch.

Butler, Georgetown, Marquette and Xavier have also left their marks already which goes to show that the new Big East, if we can even call it that anymore, will be here to stay as one of the best leagues year in and year out.

The Hoyas already have three commitments in the 2021 class. The trio of three-star prospects give Patrick Ewing the No. 22 class in the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings at the moment. The possible addition of of four-star ranked Mutombo would give a significant boost to the recruiting class.

Georgetown is currently considered the leader over Florida State, Stanford and Tennessee.

One of the better remaining power forwards in the Midwest in the class of 2021 is Legend Geeter. Geeter, who is from just outside of Detroit, is a forward who can score inside and out, and has really improved over the past year.

A strong junior season led to the three-star prospect adding high-major attention, and now he is getting ready to pull the trigger and issue his commitment.

According to multiple sources, Geeter is likely to make his pick and head to the Big East and play for Providence.

Per Corey Evans

After sitting idle this summer, Providence made its first strike in the 2021 class. On Friday, three-star power forward Legend Geeter gave his verbal commitment to the Friars.

“The love and the realness they have showed me and my family is why I chose PC,” Geeter told Rivals.com. “They showed me how they would use me as a player and also all the successful people that have come out of Providence that played my position.”

Brycen Goodine will receive his waiver from the NCAA and be eligible to play for Providence this season

Of all the years we waited for waivers this year everyone is getting one like the crowd of an Oprah show.
