Around the Big East

Expect Butler to get worn down and beaten pretty easily by Houston. We are going to have to rely on the Hall to win the Big East - Big 12 challenge for us tomorrow taking advantage of that home court edge.

Rhode Island takes out PC.
Drissa Traore chipping in with 2 pts 4 rebs.
Surprised as I thought Traore , who has always worked so hard, would be a bigger contributor at a lower level. However, he was playing against a BE school. Hopefully, he has a good season.

Patting myself on the back for taking Oklahoma state moneyline today

That line was way too close considering seton hall sucks

yikes does Wusu still get no respect from the refs or what. Just got called for a block which I though was a clear charge, and then gets hammered in the other end with no call.

Ugly ugly atmosphere for hall at home here. Long year ahead!

Hall battling and making this at least look competitive. Down 7 with :55 left

Seton Hall rewards me for keeping the game on, instead of choosing the Giants. They've cut it to 7. Their defense has kept them in it, although they're missing free throws. OK State is also not a very good team.

FS1 is obsessed with Gus Yeldon.

If I'm a SHU fan, I'm basically begging Sha to play Middleton 30 minutes per game going forward. This is definitely a flukey shooting game from him, but him living up to his recruiting pedigree is their one of their only chances to have a BE caliber starter out there.

Seton Hall is now at the point of where Big East teams viewed DePaul and Georgetown in previous years.

If you are a team with legitimate hopes of making the NCAAs you cannot under any circumstance afford to lose to them.

They are now a legitimate Quad 4 loss.

Man their roster is really.....wow.

I mean ask yourself this, take SJU's top 8 players. I would even go deeper than that quite frankly but just for laughs take the top 8. Richmond, Luis, Smith, Wilcher, Zuby, Scott, Dunlap, Glover. Prey Vince quite frankly I think you can add.

I am being dead serious when I ask this. What SHU player would you take over any of those 8 for SJU right now? I'm being honest guys, I would take none. Zero.

100000%.

Unlike DePaul/Georgetown, their defensive effort will be there. But they have zero high major offensive talent. We should throttle both games by 15-18+. I do think a team like Butler having an off night could lose to them.

Maybe I take Coleman over Vince since Coleman is showing some competitiveness out there.

Jahmeel Telfort is one of my sons very best friends. He will not have any off nights this season. I can promise you that. He knows this is his last year of college ball and wants to keep that healthy paycheque he is currently getting.
Butler is treating him well NIL wise.
He can go for 30 any given night.

Yeah I could see Coleman or Middleton as schollie 11 or 12 maybe. But seriously I don't see anyone who could legitimately crack the top 8-9 players at SJU.

I know they scored 76 today which was a season high but quite frankly a lot of that was just pressing late and getting points long after the game was decided. I mean they scored 51 at home in a loss to an 0-8 Monmouth by 12. SJU scored 53 in the second half against Kansas St yesterday. Also 4 days later Monmouth proceeded to lose to Lehigh by 27 in a game Lehigh scored 90...I mean that is just bad.

But for Rutgers as I said earlier Rivalry game or not they cannot under any cirumcstance lose that game this weekend vs SHU. Rutgers is struggling but they still have hopes with their 2 big freshmen of making the NCAAs if they lose to SHU the committee is not going to care that it was a rivalry game.
