Around the Big East

#25 UConn up 11-4 at Texas. Karraban is back.
Texas head coach already has gig lined up to play Gus Fring in Breaking Bad reboot.
I just switched to the game at halftime of the Bills and Rams game (I didn’t realize it was even on). They were coming out of a timeout and had a close up of the Texas coach and I started thinking that guy looks like one of the guys from Breaking Bad in the Pop Chips commercial.

Agreed but they are still not winning a 3rd National Championship in a row. There are reasons why that hasn’t been done in over five decades.
And the first of those 2 National Championships saw them finish 5th in the BIG EAST. That they can accomplish again.

UConn will be fine, just not in same league as last year’s team with three super guards getting paid to play now and Clingan. I notice the current team shares the ball well and has very good talent, I agree w NC J that they don’t have the dominant PG they are used to. Diarra played well today though.

I really wasnt enthused when UCONN beat Baylor after our tough loss to them. Happy they got this win at Texas. Not sure how good Texas is but they play in the SEC which should help their NET. Marquette and UCONN are teams we need to beat.

100000%.

Unlike DePaul/Georgetown, their defensive effort will be there. But they have zero high major offensive talent. We should throttle both games by 15-18+. I do think a team like Butler having an off night could lose to them.

Maybe I take Coleman over Vince since Coleman is showing some competitiveness out there.
I like Coleman as a rising sophomore.

Also let’s see what Middleton and Dual look like in a month.

Just knock on wood every time all you think we cake walk them in Newark. That game may be their Super Bowl with the Richmond situation and Newark is an absolute house of horrors for us.
