Around the Big East

Seton Hall has been so bad tonight but they just banked in an awful three and then scored off a turnover and are suddenly only down by 2. 

this DePaul team is no bueno 
 
Ths Depaul team is one of the worst teams ive seen all year.

Yet after a half court buzzer beating prayer by Salvne, Depaul up 4 at the half.
 
Seton Hall starting to gain control. Oh well.

we don't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as the NCAA tournament if we lose to this DePaul team that's for damn sure 
 
Depaul's freshman pg Elvis can play.  He will be a good one for them.

Depaul amazingly still hanging aroound.  They are up 2 w/ 13 to go.

Bottom line we have to win at DePaul, but Seton Hall also winnable by us.  They're no world-beaters. Rhete always smaller and well-coached.  In addition, their size is tough to deal with.  That said, the game can still be had.

Deapul winning does a few things:

1- they get a win on the road.  Meanng Sat vs us would be a miracle for them to win
2- we are on alert if we arent already.  Coach will drill into them, these guys beat SH on the road.  So we need our A game Sat.
3- gives seton hall a loss.  They are ahead of us so thats huge.

Lets go Blue Demons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd add that DePaul seems to be trying to play like sju.  Lots more pressure than usual.  They're sloppy because they don't play this way normally, but it seems they're moving a lot more this game. DePaul also quite athletic.  They're just not well coached, but these talent there.

I wouldn't hold my breath on DePaul winning, they've been doing this all year, when the pressure comes and it's time to close out the game, they always crumble.  They got individual talent, so they'll always be competitive to an extent, but as a team they lack a whole lot, that's why they are 3-9.

DePaul is the first team i've watched this year come out of a time out with a set play and they shoot a mid-range air ball.... lol.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. We might get 40 turnovers on Saturday.  We should beat this team by 20.

Obviously a different story if they get their top 2 guys back from injury.
 
One positive I saw out of Hall was quite a few times there was well controlled  ball movement, waiting to find open man. Reminded me of Nova, except they just couldn't find a way to get it through net.
 
That Butler loss is looking worse and worse.... hoping the silver lining is that is what we needed to re-focus and start a new 6 game winning streak.

It's expected, it's going to be some nights where things just don't go right no matter how much better your team is. Creighton, who I think is the best team in the conference right now, has a home loss to Providence and Georgetown.  A good team just minimizes those bad nights.  Hopefully St. John's is a good team now and they can finish strong and that Butler loss was the last of their bad nights for a while, this DePaul game is huge, it's an absolute must win, DePaul has talent they are capable of stealing a game, they are going to catch some team slipping before the season ends, just hope it's not the Johnnies.

Yes, remember DePaul stole one at Marquette.  That said, I too don't expect it to be against the Johnnies.
