It will be interesting to learn what discussions take place at the upcoming NCAA Oversight Committee that Cooley sits on. Cooley is no pushover like that stiff Collier. Has Collier said anything about why he caved on his league?

I'm thinking it was more like Bubba and the others let him know it would be good for him down the road to keep quiet while they gutted the three eastern schools from his league. He probably wasn't going to speak up for them anyway.

These mega conferences are going to have a hard time fitting an out of conference schedule to begin with.

Now, add in the Big East commissioner is leadership-lite. I guess even UConn cannot save us.
 
BE teams better win every MTE they are in next year... otherwise.... with such a poor view of the Conference... Beating a Creighton/Providence/etc... will hold very little weight in the eyes of those that matter...

Coaches are happier because it'll give them more control of their schedule. Both the B10 with Gavitt Games and B12 with this challenge cited similar reasoning regarding the desire for more conference games. The Big East called and called and the B12 stopped picking up basically.

The Big East needs to be crushed by the football schools. They hate us.
 
From what I can see online, the last time Ackerman got a contract extension was back in Jan 2021, where she got 3 yr extension thru June 2024

Anyone know if she has further extension? If nit, maybe she's done.

I really like the current iteration of the conference but if all the other high major conference won’t play us might be time to beef up the conference and expand. Expand or die is the way that college athletics is going. It’s all a shame but pulling a Val and sitting on your hands is not a strategy.
