Is there more media there than fans for a normal game?
Also at the odd ( at least to me) starting time of 5:30. I assume some were not home from work yet.
We never got quite that bad but we’re pretty damn close.
If only Fox had March Madness rights instead of CBS.
Business partners till the end. But this had nothing to do with 6 teams in the Tournament!

I don't think we were ever that close to them. I think their home games are legit in the hundreds.
Attendance wise …no. Terrible play? We had some pretty bad teams.
See Butler, Xavier & PC all playing in the NIT tonight with Boston College at Providence on ESPNU at 7 in case anyone's interested. Hall playing St. Joe's and Nova playing VCU tomorrow night. Actually a pretty interesting lineup for Northeastern basketball fans.
You know as much as it really doesn’t matter, wouldn’t be a great look if the BE teams exited early in the NIT.

Absolutely true, especially since so many more of other power conferences are in NCAA and Big East teams are playing lower level teams from those conferences in NIT like BC, Georgia etc.
I remember in the early 1980s, the Big East threatened to bounce Seton Hall, unless they got their act together. They hired P J Carlesimo, spent some more money, and moved home games into Brendan Byrne Arena.
The conference can't afford to carry DePaul much longer. Maybe this hire will work out, but that press conference was sad.
