Flau’jae Johnson’s (the LSU player who was shoved to the ground which escalated things) brother has been charged with assault and battery, third degree and disorderly conduct for leaving the stands and jumping onto the court. Evidently his actions caused injury to someone who was at the scorer’s table.
I watched the entire SC- LSU game . While both teams are capable of winning the National Championship , SC is a more complete and talented team .
I’m biased as my Granddaughter is a student there and was at the game .
In my opinion , the Referees let this game deteriorate into a rough game on the Court , long before the Bench Clearing incident .
These teams have carry over history from last year . LSU beat SC in the NCAA Semi Finals and beat Iowa in the Championship game .
The game on Sunday was devoid of good officiating . Numerous fouls occurred from rough play and the Refs allowed it . The Players on both teams became frustrated as a result and elbows were flying , without a whistle .
Both Teams are big and tough and play a physical game to begin with but , it deteriorated from physicality to out of control
As a result , the ruckus was inevitable .
While the Players are not innocent , neither are these 3 officials for poor officiating .
