Around the Big East

I'll put it this way. If Hurley is a free agent coach after flaming out in Brooklyn, the hiring committee at any university is having that conversation. .... and then offering him the highest contract in college basketball after 30 minutes
Of that I have no doubt.

I dunno. In being open about his mental health issues, he mentions his wife is essentially his rock, which is great. Thinking just maybe she can share feedback on how he's coming across and advise him to mature a bit in some regard. Passion and fire is great, acting like an immature lunatic, especially being incapable of tuning out trolling fans, is not cool.
I'm sure she has.

I’m not disputing this at all.

Juwan Howard isn’t even winning much, but he didn’t get fired after straight up throwing hands at an opposing coach.

I’m not saying Hurleys career is in jeopardy. I just think his behavior and ego, left unchecked, could lead to some ugly moments

Hope I’m wrong though

Yeah I said that just to show I agree it's worth talking about. You're not crazy in saying, "he has to watch out"

It’s a part of the job. Fans say all kinds of stuff. Bite your tongue and ignore it.
He should know better than to jump in the ring with a drunk fanboy.
I saw a game there where a fan was merciless on Mullin. You suck Mullin, you are a terrible coach, go back to California, you’re garbage. Mullin didn’t even blink.
That wasn't me btw. I only yelled to stop sitting on the f'ing scorers table :)

It's one thing to get into it with fans when they cross the line which unfortunately happens more and more these days. But, if you are responding to "you suck, you haven't won anything yet" then you are wired way too tight and are a ticking time bomb.
I get his history of mental health, but twice in a month engaging w/ opposing fans in the way he did is not acceptable. League and school should talk with him or fine him, but they won't because he's winning

Unpopular opinions incoming. Fans don’t have free rein on what they can do. I’m not saying Meta World Peace and Vernon Maxwell we righteous in their actions when they hit fans, but I’m saying I understand given the circumstances.

Second unpopular opinion: something about glasshouses when commenting on other coaches on and off court behavior 😂.

I love that Hurley tells fans to shove it. Why does that bother you guys?

Good for him. Its great. I hope he keeps it up and rips into opposing fans at the garden during the BET.

Its entertaining. Hes the best coach in the country. I love it!!!!!!!

Uhh, no.

Just no.

Ignoring Hurley’s mental health issues, still no.

This opinion, like many others of yours, is bizarre.

For the sake of brevity I won’t even consider his sideline antics and total lack of any adult control, but Hurley is not even the best coach in his conference.

Very good point. Fans do have a sense of “anonymity” in the crowd and often think they can say whatever they want. It goes both ways. Still think Hurley needs to learn how to deal better

He’s not the best coach in the country. He won a National Championship, yes. But, you can not tell me he’s a better coach than , Tom Izzo, Rick Pitino, John Calipari, Bill Self , even Kelvin Sampson and Mark Few. If I need to win one game , I’m taking any one of those guys I mentioned over Danny Hurley.
