Mitch Ballock just hit a picture perfect catch and shoot buzzer beater from close to halfcourt. Creighton up 40-32 at the half.
Creighton blessed with experience and sharing the ball approach. If there is a Tourney & healthy, they seem capable of doing some damage with this group.

Yes, they have a really experienced, cohesive starting five. Bench a little suspect, but they're young and may well improve over the course of the regular season.

If I was picking a team to root for based on "LMF's idea of how the game should be played," it would be Creighton.  Great coaching, unselfish, great teamwork.

I can't understand the D Providence is playing. They somehow got away most of the game with running the defender out of the corner to some spot where he really isn't needed - leaving the corner shooter a mile open.  But it's a ridiculous defense against Creighton.  If the shots had dropped a little better it would have been a blowout

Providence is so consistent at not looking good and just uglying it up and hanging around and hanging around. It's like an art form.

We could have used that grad transfer Horchler from PC this year. Solid big off the bench. Kind of what I was hoping we'd get from Toro (absent the ability to hit the three that Horchler has).

I was thinking the same thing, NCJohnnie.  Horchler looks like a nice grad transfer find.

I will say, Toro looked a little better in his last two games.  He's not what we were hoping for, but I think he may contribute before all is said and done.

Georgetown's size seems to be giving Marquette trouble in the early going.  The Hoyas are turning it over like crazy, though.  Our style sort of renders the Hoyas height.

What an awful loss for Geogetown. Up 16 at half and get smoked in the second half. Looked clueless in the second half.

Thought Ewing should have used some key timeouts, but he left it up to the freshman point guard, and we saw how that turned out.

Creighton's ranked No. 30 in the first edition of the NET, which isn't too kind to the Big East.
It's early, obviously. But no more nonconference games to prove yourself as a league

Nova (5), CU (30), SH (44), XU (46), UConn (48), Marq (63), PC (78).

Villanova is again pausing all basketball related activities due to issues related to COVID-19, per release. Wildcats' next three games are all postponed.
