Marquette at home played well in defeating Nova 87- 74

Bounce back double/double game for Kolek & Kam Jones had great outing for M’Q. Nova Coach prolonged game down 14 w 30 seconds left, seemed frustrated.

For the entire minute before that when Villanova was legitimately trying to prolong the game the refs swallowed the whistles while Villanova players tackled Marquette players leading to four layup points for the Eagles. Shameful from the refs as it’s not up to them to decide when a game was over. Frankly, when Villanova wanted to start fouling the game situation was about what ours was with Providence and we know how close that became.

One more quick thought on that ending. If it was UConn trying to fouls like that and the refs just ignored blatant fouls and gave the contest to the other team - well I would pay real money to watch how Hurley would react to that.
 
Every time Marquette ran that little two man game with Kolek and Ighodaro which resulted in about 5 dunks I started twitching a little thinking about Saturday.
 
Watching Marquette take down Nova I was impressed how GOOD Mq is. Gotta beat Seton Hall tomorrow. We don’t want to play Saturday coming off a two game losing streak.

Nova did the same against us. Refs made the calls.
 
Posh has led Butler in a comeback from 19 points down to take the lead against Xavier - 15 second half points.
