Around the Big East

If you ever need a burner account, just go with Awusuinyourtutu.

In all seriousness, never understood the amount of heat the kid took here. All he ever did was give 110% whenever he was on the court. No he wasn’t perfect, but he was the least of our issues under the last regime.
Without having a single issue with the roster we have now, I think seton hall got a great piece.

Complicit yes, for sure, but responsible, can’t agree with that. He was out there playing and making bad decisions, not the coaches.
The coaches allowed him the minutes to be out on the court.

DePaul in midseason form
DePaul needs to pray for a Miracle to make them even remotely competitive .

They need a top echelon Coach like we did . Problem is elite Coaches are usually not available . We were extremely lucky to get Pitino

They don’t seem to be able to access top talent kids form Chicago or the suburbs .

They have been uncompetitive far too long .Pity .

Agreed, hence complicit. He still was the one with the ball in his hand, not the coaches. Very likely just semantics but I don’t hold anyone else responsible for decisions I make regardless of their involvement.

Too bad the coaches don’t control who has the ball in their hands. Hmmmm

Ok, I give up, you are right, coaches are totally responsible for the actions of every player, on every play. Players have no responsibility whatsoever for their performance. Sheesh……

Only posting here bc UConn was heavily in play.....but Cooper Flagg to Duke

Not saying I'm rooting against UConn, I want them to be successful (OOC at least) as it benefits the Big East, but this is the one Big East school that I couldn't care less about missing out on a recruit like Flagg. That's saying a lot given the alternative was Duke.

That's OK. I'll say it, I'm rooting against yukon. ;)

Lol fair enough, but I'm genuinely not rooting against them (for OOC at least). When we beat them this year I hope they're ranked at the time(s). They don't need a player like Cooper to be ranked, though, and I'd like the top of the Big East to remain competitive. Wouldn't want UConn becoming what Nova was under Wright (winning the BE every year), so in that regard I am rooting against them.

This is a down year for the Big East…the exhibition season records are bad.

Last year the Big East did pretty poorly in the scrimmages and that was somewhat of an indicator as the conference didn't do great OOC (losing record to the P5 for the first time - one or two ranked teams entering conference play), but the top half of the league dominated conference play which resulted in 5 ranked teams and a pretty good Selection Sunday.

Think we may see something similar this year, but with hopefully more of the top half teams doing better OOC (besides just UConn).
