Around the Big East

I have a wooden piece of the original Alumni Hall floor (6" by 2"). The following is inscribed on it, "This is part of the original basketball court in St. John's University Alumni Hall". It also contains Coach Carnesecca's signature, and our old SJU abbreviation overlayed by the mascot indian dribbling a basketball.

Can you post a photo? Does it also contain wording like ”Number 200 out of 500”?

Does not contain any numbering. Not sure how to get a picture on here. Also, since the site has been running so slowly for the last couple of months I am not sure it will accept a picture, but I will try.

Very good NBA draft for the Big East, with 3 taken in the 1st round and 2 in the 2nd. This is one of the biggest criticisms against the conference, due in large part to not getting many 5 star recruits (tons of 4s).

SEC - 10
B1G - 8
Big East - 5
ACC - 5
Big 12 - 4
Pac-12 - 4
AAC - 3
WCC - 3
Missouri Valley - 1
Southern - 1
Mid-American - 1
A-10 - 1

Keep in mind most of these conferences, especially the Power conferences, have more teams/players than the Big East.

Clingan will be really big factor in BE this year, Hurley did good job of getting him solid minutes last season as he usually does with talented freshmen

Clingan very talented. I’ve heard his one Achilles heel is difficulties with stamina. Assuming he can get past that, he’s a handful. Not sure he will ever be an over 25-minute per game guy with that said, but he probably doesn’t have to be.

Hate to say it, but he's as fluid in movement as anyone I've ever seen at his size.

I heard, a couple weeks ago, that he hasn't fared well in grassroots play. Maybe the other schools wasn't pushing as hard as Georgetown as of late.

Nevertheless, kudos to the young man for earning high major D1 offers.
Same name as USC’s Heisman Trophy winning QB.
