Around the Big East

Aren’t there usually 10 games?
That's the Big 12 battle, which is going up to 11 games starting this year.

Gavitt Games has always been 8 contests. Big 10 had been reluctant for more, since they had the ACC challenge as well, although that is no more. There's rumors the Gavitt Games may expand in the future, although there are also rumors that it is going away completely, so who knows?

Guess they have to rotate the schools but Uconn instead of Butler vs Michigan St. would have been much better and more equitable match up.

Yeah, but Uconn's already got two of TX/IU/'Ville, UNC, Gonzaga, and KS on the schedule. Even if they're great that's a tough OOC top 5 games. Last year they played 6 lower level teams. If they follow the same pattern they're done with their schedule.
