Around the Big East

Outside of the top 3 in Providence, Xavier, and Marquette, the conference is up for grabs. Still think this is at least a 5-6 bid league, who's going to step up is the question.

Going to be difficult for the Big East teams making it past the 1st two rounds of the NCAA’s this year. No super talented teams like past Villanova teams. Creighton after being ranked preseason is only .500, UCONN has lost 3 straight road games, X, PC and Marq are a shade above average. My guess is there won’t be too many NCAA $$$ shares coming to our conference coffers this year! Then again, there are not many super teams in the whole darn NCAA except Houston, Alabama, Tennessee, and Kansas And Purdue.

Opposite of Johnny struggles for most part. Shaka is in ideal position at M’Q, great fan support, close to his roots and solid financial resources.

Apparently there are some fine coaching adjustments made at halftime and perhaps his kids are in fine condition as well.

Yup, as the only state school in the conference with certainly more financial resources, Val Ackerman did no favors to the rest of the league by letting them back in.
Finally, one thing I agree with you on 1000%!! Pukon should have never ever been let back in to the Big East.

10000000%!!! - I've been saying for years. Letting Yukon back in the BE put every other team in the conference at a resource disadvantage from Day One. Made no sense at all.
They make the league stronger which is good especially with Jay Wright retiring. But I get what your saying they don’t really fit this version of the conference, they’re a better fit for the Big Ten but they will never get invited because their football program is a disaster.

But the problem is, as soon as their football program rights itself, they’ll bolt for the Big Ten or even the ACC. I don’t trust them.

Nope. Don’t want them. Never did. And when they leave the conference, which they will, the money they will get from their new conference will easily pay their exit fee out of the BE.

Not talking about bankrupting UConn, Just the windfall the BE will get. Hopefully it happens after the next media rights negotiations are over. However you said it was a problem that they will bolt for a Power 5 conferences. So is it or isn't it?
