Around the Big East

We'll, yeah, I'm sure they didn't cover, so you might as well root for Rider. If I'm betting a favorite, and I know late in the game that they won't cover, then I always hope they lose outright.
Took them ML when they were down big early.

When I first saw "sports investing" on the board and I seriously thought guys were buying shares of a team or something.
there's actually a new site called Mojo where you can do just that, buy stock in a player to get better or worse etc.

They were missing Dante Harris who was supposed to be their starting PG but think it’s unknown if/when he returns. If he doesn’t they are in big trouble. They looked BAD tonight against a team playing the second night of a back-to-back after being uncompetitive against a mediocre Charlotte team

They are also waiting for the Az St transfer Heath to get cleared. They expect him to be one of their primary scorers. He scored in double figures last year and shot over 40% from 3. I only watched a little of the game but they were talking about him when I turned it on.

Jordan Riley only played 4 minutes. Kyle Cuffe Jr. logged 2. I'm sure they are fine in their current situations, but have to imagine they would have gotten more burn here. Oh well...
And Riley only got in during OT when someone fouled out. He actually made a nice impact. Maybe that turns it around for him.

Jordon is probably not a BE level player, can’t shoot. He is a great athlete trying to be a basketball player.

Kyle Jr is also not a great shooter and really a two guard. Kansas recruits over folks and also prefers long guards. The assumption that Kyle would be an effective BE player merits evaluation Imo. SJ has too often recruited slashers in an era of three point shooting, so I’d be careful on this one if he portals. Just my opinion.

Agree 100% on both counts, especially having watched Riley play. A much better athlete than BBall player.

1) I wish someone would have noticed it sooner and shipped him off to LuHi or NYC early on.

I wonder how our staff would have used him. They seemed to really have wanted him and I'm hoping they noticed his flaws.

2) I'm not necessarily saying come here . . . but Cuffe has got to get the hell out of Kansas.

Four Big East games tonight:

Boston U at UCONN - 6 pm FS2
Nova at Temple - 7 pm ESPNU (good scouting opportunity)
Montana at Xavier - 8 pm FS2
Western Illinois at Depaul - 10 pm FS2

When you can't even get into games on a historically horrible GTown squad....

Cuffe spends two years apprenticing on the national championship squad, only to come home with 3 years of eligibility left? Intriguing.
