Around the Big East

Have some connected Hall fans who aren’t to sure about that. I still think he would have landed there regardless of the SPU run. But they tell me there was some fraying between the school and Holloway. Some of it concerned Holloway getting in trouble for tampering with a kid who transferred there from Cuse, or something like that.
Taurean Thompson who only appeared in a handful of games there?

Yes if I remember correctly Holloway was suspended for contacting him and his family while he was enrolled at SU. Dirty business

Wow, so even after the NCAA told the Seton Hall staff to stop contact with the SU player and his mom, Holloway made 87 more calls, that’s not “dirty business” that’s a dirty coaching staff. No way to soften that up. I guess Willard taught him well. But in the end , it doesn’t seem to matter anymore. If you win, all sins are forgiven, but if you lose, they will be used as grounds for termination.

You may not like Danny H but he and staff kill it recruiting much like most of the BE staffs. Johnnies are facing a big challenge obviously and hopefully are up for it. The “coach them up” stuff can only do so much imo.

As Looie would always tell a new coach….. if you want to compete, go out and get good players. Staff has allot of ground to make up in recruiting capable HS talent. Hopefully they have turned the corner.

I said this last year. The CAA would be the best place to park their football team. They would have a lot of East Coast State Schools for rivals. (Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Stony Brook, Albany, Delaware and others. They also have Villanova from the Big East. Maybe they could drag UMASS along as well. They might want to downsize their stadium a little so it's not so quiet.
