Around the Big East

Clarify SJU was 3rd in median but 2nd on average.

But still for 2 programs who have struggled recently it shows they still can draw eyes.

This week, full crowds are "finally back in the building" after no tickets were made available to the public last year and MSG was "mostly empty throughout the tournament save for some family and friends of the teams." The '20 edition was "called off at halftime of the first quarterfinal because of the outbreak." The top three seeds and five of the top seven are "located a train ride away, pulling into Penn Station right underneath MSG." Sellout crowds are "expected, with more than 95% of tickets already snapped up by Monday" (https://www.sacbee.com/sports/article259182958.html]AP, 3/9).

The big east tournament is such a big draw every year it got me thinking why don’t the league schedule a regular season doubleheader at MSG with SJU and three schools with strong local alumni bases like Geo, Nova, Conn, and SH .
One team would have to give up a home game but the doubleheader would probably generate enough money to satisfy the four participants and drive up interest in the league.

Nobody wants to give up a home court advantage by giving up a league game at a neutral site.

I’ve seen a few instances this season where he’s looked close to awful, but something tells me Lukosius from Butler will end up being a really good player.

Think he brings more away from scoring.

Talk about chokes ? Scruggs gets three fouls in last minute. Fouls player to let him tie the game. Fouls out? WTF , after he makes two great plays???????/.  Unreal

Unbelievable, Scruggs is just a flat out Dummy , I’m sorry but he is!! They also missed 8 of there last 13 free throws at the end of regulation. Xavier might have a lower basketball IQ than us. That’s hard to do.
