Around the Big East 18/19

AP Poll

Unbeaten St. John’s (12-0) remains unranked, but got votes and is effectively No. 28. Villanova and Seton Hall also got votes.

Marquette #18
No, we just need to beat a decent team. A win at Seton Hall would do it.
Provided we don't have to go five or six games deep before beating a decent team.

How do Kenpom's predictions compare to last year's results?

I thought Kenpom picks every game in advance? If so, then these records should add up to .500, which by my math (which could very well be wrong), this does not.

Anybody ever get Big East Championship ticket package offered to Season Ticket holders? Seems like it is all 9 games. Is it easy to sell tickets to unwanted games if necessary?

I we don't get Keita back and making a contribution , we will finish behind Seton Hall, Providence and Xavier. If we do, I believe we will finish above Butler and Creighton.

You haven’t watched Xavier play this year if you think there’s any scenario where we finished behind them

It is part of his process.

Interesting article from CBS Sports which is favorable to SJU. The consensus is that we are the third best team in the conference and the most underrated.

Nice piece, thanks. Agree with it. Marquette may be the team to beat for the Conference title.
Well, we won't have to wait very long, they come here next Tuesday.
I like the tough schedule right from the start, we'll find out if their big boy status and gonna thrive, or just little kids that will fall on their ass.
Real interested in Saturday night.
They remember how crappy they felt after the 0-11, was like a smack to them all after the nice 11-2 ooc record because they knew they were much better then that. They got something to prove, to themselves and no one else, and with that mentality they'll shine, never get satisfied.
Payback tour this year.

My prediction 3-1 in the first 4, but if they start 4-0 then everyone will know that their on a mission, and this is a very different SJU team, the best since the 98-99 team.
Lets see what they got.

Conquer and Destroy
REDMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@JonRothstein

DePaul's Jalen Coleman-Lands (hands) remains out indefinitely and will not play in Saturday's Big East opener against Xavier, per Dave Leitao.
