Around the Big East 18/19

Dammit! BC just came back at the end of their game against DePaul to win, 65-62. Demons first home loss of the season.

I saw that, totally gagged that one away.

Clearly Seton Hall will be tough to beat in SJU opener on road. Impressively beat Maryland away and have acquitted themselves well in a very tough out of conference schedule. Say what you want about Kevin W, but he has done a nice job at SH.

Outstanding few days for the Big East. Nova, Marquette, Hall and us all have strong OOC resumes. Butler will as well if they can beat Florida.

Enough about this being a down year. It's down compared to last year (a year with TWO #1 seeds), but that's an impossible standard to live up to every year. League is strong and #3 in NET. Couldn't ask for anything more than that considering how many players went pro last year.

It’s amazing how good things have been working out for the BE. It wasn’t that long ago when it appeared the conference was left for dead and rats were jumping off a sinking ship.

Couldn’t have worked out any better for schools like seton hall, Providence, nova, Xavier, creighton. Hopefully we are added to the list soon and I think we will.

St Johns Marvin Clark and Seton Hall’s Myles Powell make Big East honor roll #sjubb #shbb

I think Leitao will be gone if they don’t show something. They seem to lose these type of winnable games all too regularly.

Then they will rehire him 15 years later

He's usually the only applicant.

AP Poll

Unbeaten St. John’s (12-0) remains unranked, but got votes and is effectively No. 28. Villanova and Seton Hall also got votes.

Marquette #18

I think we might have to win National Championship to get ranked

No, we just need to beat a decent team. A win at Seton Hall would do it.

Rothstein who had us at 23 last week dropped us out of his voting after we won two more games. One voter has us as high as 16.
beat Seton hall and we are in even we lose to Marquette just my opinion
Play SH Sat, rankings come out Mon so Marquette game would have no bearing.
I doubt we are ranked if beat SH at this point though. Think we have to win next 3 cause if we beat SH and Marquette but lose to Gtown we won't be ranked.

Correct! We have not one quality win to date. Seton Hall beat Kentucky and Maryland away from home. We won 4 games against cruds that came down to the last possession. That doesn't inspire confidence in voters. If we can't beat Seton Hall we will not be ranked for the rest of the season imo.
