Around the Big East 18/19

Can't blame them, it's their team. To be fair, Lord knows we'd be doing the same thing if we beat Kentucky. We'll get a chance to shut them up next week.[/quote]

I hope we don’t lose that one and put a hurting on them badly... step on the gas.

Put your hate to the side mcn, we need their reputation as strong as possible when we go in to their place.

I like the fact that they are all gassed, then when we're in their house and smack 'em, they'll be stuck on shutup.
Lol I'm happy that they're all high and mighty, when we win there, no need to say a word, just rock your sju gear and grin at them, knowing that they're pissed.

Got home and reread my post, the first line was terrible lol, but fixed it.
Cant type on the phone.

Some good wins for the Big East last night. Barring anything crazy happening over the last couple days of out of conference play, the Big East will hold the #3 spot in the RPI ratings. That can't be looked at anything other than a huge success for the conference, in a year we thought the conference would be down.

We might not be as top heavy as a conference as in years past, but by all indications, the Big East is just as strong.

Marquette’s with depth, some size and talent to me is team to beat in BE. SJU early contest at CA will be a war & great one. Beat the Hall on road, which has been tough for a while & then square off with Wojo & crew. This is what makes the Big East so great. The first four games will tell us a lot about the talented Johnnies. Have to bring A game in that stretch to launch a very successful BE season.

Per Nova Men’s Basketball
Update: Sophomore guard Collin Gillespie will not play in today's game vs. Connecticut (head injury protocol).

Quinerly time?

I’m watching this Georgetown game against Arkansas -Little Rock. It’s strange to see a Georgetown team that can score, but plays very little defense. Right now they are up 38-35 with 7 minutes left in the first half. Wide open 3’s and dunks galore.
The other weird thing? 2 ex-Knicks as head coaches. Ewing and Darrell Walker for Arkansas LR.

The two games with Georgetown are going to be interesting. I really feel like both teams can exploit the others' biggest weakness.

We have no answer for Govan inside, but Georgetown might not be able to get the ball past halfcourt, against our pressure defense.

In college game, it is usually dominated by guards, SJU has an ample edge v GT’s young tandem. I believe they can pressure them forcing TOS.

Watching the Villanova vs UConn game being played at MSG and it pains me to see the UConn name and logo on the court. No wonder every team within a 1000 mile radius thinks the Garden is their freaking 2nd home court. Call me petty; call me peeved.

I could easily see them sweeping us whereas I could maybe see us sweeping nova. Theo John is an absolute monster and the Tripple H boys are all studs. We will absolutely need Keita against them.

Jeez I just saw that. I knew he had 45 but 40 in the 2nd half alone???

Very questionable strategy by Ewing at the end of the game. Up 3, he commits a foul. All good, except there were 8 seconds left. LR hits the free throws. They foul G’town. After 2 free throws are eventually hit, LR hits a miracle 3 pointer. Game now in OT.
I would not foul so soon. With 3 seconds, yes. But not 8.

Georgetown's two frosh guards combined for 63 points today. They are going through freshman growing pains but boy will they be tough to deal with next year!
