Around the Big East 18/19

Not BE related, but Rutgers held Eastern Michigan to 4 pts in the first half!
FINAL: San Diego State 79, Xavier 74. The Musketeers (2-3) have lost three straight games - two in Maui - and today they squandered a 19-point lead against the Aztecs.

So to recap: Take the wins, move forward, and avoid wrangling over style points. As we have seen, winning is hard.

None of those loses should hurt that bad Wisconsin, Auburn, and San Diego State should all be tournament teams. Xavier will be battle tested by the time the conference season starts.

Someone values height per Zagoria

Georgetown announced the signings of 6-foot-11 center Malcolm Wilson and 6-foot-11 center Timothy Ighoefe (Lagos, Nigeria).

Ighoefe is raw but has a 7'7.5" wingspan. By comparison the longest wingspan last year in the NBA was Goday with Utah at 7'9"

They look good although near the 1/2 Kansas suddenly woke up and started looking like a top 10 (#2) team.
Butler is down about 10 to Dayton though.

Kansas on a 17-0 run to open 2nd half against Marquette. Kansas scored the last bucket of 1st half so this is a 19-0 run Kansas up 8 after being down 11.

But on a positive note, Creighton is up by 10 over 16th ranked Clemson in the second half.

Talk about an upside down year.

With Butler losing to Dayton tonight, the only two teams in the Big East with undefeated overall records are Depaul, and St. John's.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Creighton about to beat #16 Clemson. Otherwise, Big East taking a beating again today. I think we might get only three teams in the NCAA Tournament this season. We better do really well in conference
Creighton won today. Huge win for the Big East.
36 points for Tyshaun Alexander . 7/12 from 3 point range.
