Around the Big East 18/19
Bizarre game Penn State opens up the game on an 11-0 run and ends regulation time on a 10-0 run. In between DePaul handily outplays Penn State 68-47. Game goes to overtime after Penn State misses a very makeable layup at the buzzer. In the end DePaul survives in OT 72-70 despite playing poorly down the stretch. Big East is now 2 and 5 in the Gavitt games
Too bad Creighton didn't hold on vs OSU we could have been playing to draw the BE even at 4-4.

Big East is down, but a bloodbath. No gimmes here top to bottom. Makes for great watching, but may impact #of teams that “dance”.

Besides our guys closing out the Gavitt Games, there are two other Big East contests tonight.

7:00 PM - Loyola Marymount vs. Georgetown, from Montego Bay, Jamaica - CBS Sports Network
8:00 PM - Ole Miss at Butler - FS2

Yeah a bit hollow. Keep in kind Purdue and Michigan St two of the best B10 teams are not participating this year.

Per Lucas Harkens
FINAL: #Butler 83, Ole Miss 76. What was the difference? Dawgs shot 18-for-18 from the free throw line in the second half (23-for-27 on the night

Kamar Baldwin finishly strongly at end of game.

That kid Jorgensen from NY had big scoring night.

Not a good visit to Jamaica by Patrick Ewing. LMU hit 22 of 25 free throws.

Thanks for always sharing these. Makes it easy to follow along.

Johnnies, Butler & Depaul only three undefeated Big East teams after first few games.
Can't see us being challenged too much by Cal but either Temple or VCU should be a tough game, probably toughest before conference play begins. Both of them are undefeated. Temple has a win over Georgia and VCU easily handled Bowling Green. Both go 8 or 9 deep and most of their guys are upperclassmen so very experienced. Either will be an excellent test for us. Unfortunately, we will be traveling up to New Jersey to spend the Thanksgiving holidays with our daughters on Tuesday so will likely miss that game.

No problem. I stole it from the Providence and/or Georgetown boards. I can't remember which, though they only used to do conference games. I also kind of consider it an extension of what Knight does with the game threads.

Can't promise I'll remember everyday, but I'll try.

St. Louis vs. Seton Hall should be a good one as St. Louis is picked by many to win the A-10 this year.
