Around the Big East 18/19

Ohio State beats Creighton 69-60 Luther M made a big defensive play down stretch, the reason he will have a solid career at OSU. Forget being played over. Defend and you get time from Holtmann

Ohio State wins over Crieighton 69-60.

The Big Ten is now 5 and 1 over the Big East in the Gavitt games leaving DePaul versus Penn State and St. John's versus Rutgers to bring the Big East back to respectability here.

Not BE, but Danny Hurley, tonight beating Cuse, went with his usual formula, pressuring ball, disrupting rhythm & hitting boards. One game, an intense, over the top guy, but kids play hard for him. Grinder!

Hurley quickly building his resume for recruits.

The opposite of our laid back, flip flop wearing California dude who likes to shoot hoops.....not teach hoops.

The Big East conference will be taking a very big hit in the conference rankings after this horrendous week.

DePaul may surprise this season if they can stop the horrendous starts. I'd love to have the Femi kid playing for us. He has trouble keeping up but in the half court he has good hands.
No that they will take the conference but by surprise I mean not be the shoe-in for last place as everyone predicted.

They're getting a big break in the second semifinal of this tournament, as well. Iowa leads #13 Oregon by 11 at halftime.

Penn State scores the last 10 points of regulation to tie it, overtime. We might end up being destroyed in these Gavitt Games as a conference.

Bizarre game Penn State opens up the game on an 11-0 run and ends regulation time on a 10-0 run. In between DePaul handily outplays Penn State 68-47. Game goes to overtime after Penn State misses a very makeable layup at the buzzer. In the end DePaul survives in OT 72-70 despite playing poorly down the stretch. Big East is now 2 and 5 in the Gavitt games
