We have a lot to thank Creighton for this year, if they hang on! Beating them twice (especially on the road) has kept us on the right side of the bubble, to this point.[/quote]

We may have to thank them one more time, cause they need to beat DePaul on their home floor or else with a loss I believe we play Wednesday.

Actually nova could keep us out of Wednesday with a win over seton hall also. We just need 1 of the 2 to happen.

Obviously it’s all moot if we just won this weekend

DePaul could still beat Creighton and we lose, and it won't affect us much unless Seton Hall were to beat Villanova or Georgetown wins against Marquette. Seton Hall or Georgetown are our nemesis if we lose and either one of 'em wins, this weekend.

Georgetown could also finish 8-10, if they don't complete a huge comeback (there have been some false starts by them, the first 10 minutes of the second half). They're at Marquette Saturday. I know that Marquette is not playing well right now, but I would still have to favor them. It's too complicated, IMO.

But yes, winning on Saturday not only keeps us out of the first night, but I believe, would clinch third place.

+1.

everyone in the conference plays Saturday. If all the home teams hold serve with the exception of nova winning @SH. The bracket would look like this which I think is pretty favorable for us

Creighton wins by 6, and that at least guarantees that we will not finish in last, since the best Providence can do is 7-11.

Not the ultimate goal, obviously, but in order to get to where you want to be, things like this have to happen first.

Although there are huge implications for this weekend's game, I feel emotionally detached from this one. Think I will be able to watch without the nagging heartburn. I fully expect a loss, so no need to get crazy.

If they pull something out of their arses......great.

They need to just cut the shit and win on Saturday. I want a Thursday night game. Tired of the underachieving this year. We're much better than this. We should be sitting pretty with 10 or 11 BE wins already. Players and staff need to bring it all on Saturday.

I don't think DePaul is gonna relinquish this lead. They're back up by 25 with under 8 remaining. So, DePaul looks like they're gonna do us a favor tonight. I think Marquette will hault their losing streak and take care of the Hoyas. Hopefully, Villanova can do us a favor as well.

That’s how I kind of feel too, so I know St. John’s is gonna come out and go up 10-2 or something to pull me in and get me excited and then it’ll all fall apart

I have tickets for Kiss Me Kate on Saturday Night, and am meeting friends for dinner beforehand. They might be really upset at me for following the Fox Sports Go app during our meal. Fortunately, they know of my huge SJU fandom, so I'll probably get away with it.

I'm glad I'll be out for it, because at home, I get too frustrated watching the games (even when we're winning). Being at the Yankees Spring Training game on Sunday, made the loss at Depaul much easier to stomach, since I didn't see it.

Ironically, I don't ever feel the same being at the games, in person. Yes, I get nervous, but I always enjoy being at the games, win or lose.

I also expect a loss. Will be surprised and certainly elated if we win. I'm just hoping to find scenarios where we're not playing on Wednesday. :)

Your team is leading by 38 with 4 minutes to go...and you still remain glued to the pine. Must suck being Goggle Boy!

DePaul is now being DePaul. They had 95 points with about 4 minutes left. They're now stuck on 99 with about a minute remaining.

Pat Ewing is having his team run out the clock with about 30 seconds remaining. LOL

I honestly think Ewing didn't want to allow "Lucas" his time in the sun with a potential basket. Ha!
