Around the Big East 18/19

If Hall beats Nova Saturday and we lose to Xavier we could wind up in Wednesday play in game. We need to win Saturday and not hope other teams lose.

They bring it every game, both offense and defense. If we played with half of the passion that they play with, we would be in great shape. 18-0 run by SH. 73-64 Final.
You’ve caught them on their good days then. They’ve had plenty of duds this year which is why their are in the precarious position they are in
Honestly, I’ve caught most of their games. Even when they toss in a stinker, they never give up and don’t stop trying. The intensity difference between us and them over a full 40 minutes is stark.

What a win for Seton Hall, coming from 15 down to upset No. 16 Marquette. Myles Powell with 35, second straight 30-point performance. Pirates may go dancing after all. #shbb

Agree, Jack. We did the same thing to Marquette earlier.

Now we gotta hope Villanova beats Seton Hall this weekend or we're likely headed to Wednesday night in the Big East Tournament. Reason I said "likely" is I'm not confident we win on Saturday.

Rooting for DePaul and Creighton in these last two games this evening.

Marquette has lost 3 in a row. But look at how they have lost them. They led all 3 at the under 5 minute mark including tonight by 9. They have been outscored 46-9 combined in the last 5 minutes of each of these 3 losses. They got outscored 18-0 to end tonight, from up 9 to down 9.

I know this board loves Ewing as a coach, but his team just fouled the 3 pointe shooter twice in the first four minutes of the game.

I bet we lead the conference in fouling the 3 point shooter.

Do we lead the conference in number of fouls committed? If so, then probably yes. It certainly seems like we do.

Announcers just said Georgetown was goofing off during warmups and not taking them serious. Sounds like something our fans made fun of our team for recently.

Yea our hopes are hinging on nova on the other two teams you mentioned. Would be nice if we could step up and help ourselves but like you I’m not holding my breath

Strus continuing his hot shooting. Georgetown has already fouled three seperate 3-point shooters in this game. DePaul is kicking Georgetown's ass.
Strus is in some kinda zone. That last 3 he just it.... Damn!
DePaul was just up by 27 over Georgetown with 6 to go in the first half. Crazy

Forget what teams you wouldn't want to play in the BET I don't want to play MAX STRUS! LOL

That's crazy. Fatigue? Poor coaching down the stretch?

Thing is DePaul could still lose this game.
It’s easy to see why we swept Marquette, they can’t handle pressure to their guards which we provide
It's pretty obvious that Marquette and Villanova are our two best matchups in the Big East. The fact that they are the two best teams are meaningless, just like it's meaningless that Depaul and Providence might be the worst teams in the league. They're still two of our worst matchps.

Marquette falling apart down the stretch. Big win for Hall it looks like
Howard completely disappeared in this game. We needed a Seton Hall loss here since we're battling them on the bubble
About two weeks ago, the announcers who were doing a Marquette game, mentioned that Howard was playing through a hip pointer injury. He has not looked the same since.

He really should consider shutting it down for the regular season finale, and the Big East Tournament, in preparation for an NCAA Tournament run. It might be the best thing for him, and the entire Marquette team.
