Around College Basketball

St Bonaventure would be very tough to beat at least at the beginning of this year with today's two teams matched up on a neutral court, and would have been a clear favorite to beat us the majority of games for at least the last ten years. Then again, most NCAA caliber teams would project at that success level.

The St. Louis metropolitan area has 2.8 million people. Dayton less at around 800,000 , you’re adding two markets totaling 3.6 million people.
There are way less people than that in the entire state of Kansas, but if if the conference somehow added the Jayhawks back when the Big 12 seemed like it was on its death bed, I think we'd make way more on the next contract. Population size is nice, but if the team isn't a household name, Fox isn't increasing our share.

Brigham Young University has accepted an invitation to join the Big 12 Conference.
Cinci, UCF, Houston also equates to nice hoops conference

Katz predicting us as a 10 seed. I think we end up with a higher seed /media/kunena/emoticons/cool.png

Best assessed bracket I've seen so far.  Has 4 Big East teams dancing.  Nova, UConn, Xavier, and St. John's.  I think that's who most think are the 4 best teams in the conference right now.  Nova is #1, then 2-4 can vary honestly.

Going to be interesting to see how the Big East coaches vote on the pre-season poll.  I think they'll probably pick Johnnies #3, behind Nova and UConn.

Here's another one from Jerry Palm -  cbssports.com:
#9 seed for us.

MP can you share your thoughts on this bracket?

Just from a quick browse doesn't look like it's too far off from what Katz has.  Both have the same 4 Big East teams in their brackets.  I think anywhere from a 8-10 seed is a fair assessment of the Johnnies at this point in time, there's a lot of unknowns outside of Champ and Posh, however when you have two of the top 5 or 6  returning guys in a league like the Big East that should have you featured in most pre-season brackets, no idea what Lunardi is thinking with his pre-season bracket of having them out.

We will be a 5 seed. We will be a trendy upset victim pick, but we will beat the 12 seed by 26.

I'll try to be less vague with my predictions next time.

Here's a prediction for you.
If we win an NCAA tournament game by 26 our fans will complain it wasn't by 30

Lunardi doesn't have us in the dance - has us as one of the "First Four Out"
I never liked this guy (LMAO)!!!

Per Pat Forde

Louisville released updated NCAA Notice of Allegations. Of note: it now includes a potential Level II charge related to the Dino Gaudio revelations, and a potential Level II charge against Chris Mack for head coach responsibility. Major problem for U of L louisville.

I came across this when looking at a tweet Moose had put up on the Mike Anderson thread  about Musselman getting another big stud and him strolling of an airplane.  I guess they were watching a press conference of a kid who just announced for Arkansas.

Like the person who posted this, I too have watched this video multiple times and find something new to laugh at every time!!!
