They were apparently promised major NIL, if they hired this assistant from the Pelicans. Someone on here indicated that.the coach-to-be's father is independently wealthy. I don't know if that's true, or if it was said in jest, but NIL does appear to be the main factor here.

Another question for the Committee is why was Creighton given a lower seed than Yukon. Creighton finished ahead of Yukon during the regular season (2nd in the BE) split the season series, Creighton beat Yukon soundly at the BE Tournament. Creighton also beat us 1x and Yukon did not. Yukon wiped out early in the season in Hawaii.

Committee really making it clear they have 0 care regarding Conf Tourneys... see Michigan winning theirs and still below Wiscy by two seed lines... (not like they were a cinderella either)
True. But…Creighton finished 2nd ahead of Yukon in the “regular season”. Sure they don’t value conference Tourny but THEY say “whole body of work”. So they should if they are following their own guidance.
Split with Yukon and beat us 1x all during the regular season. Conference Tourney just validated the 2 seed.
