Around College Basketball

An interesting article on the internet written by Matt Norlander a reporter for CBS sports, He ranks the most successful college programs from 1939, first NCAA tournament to 2020. He awards points in 13 cstagories, 10 for winning the tournament down to 1 for having a NBA draft pick higher than 30.
You can argue on his scoring but he has SJU 17:down from 10 when he last did the ranking in 2009. Many surprises, UCLA is 4 not 1and Ohio State is 12, they have had great success in the tournament. Available at 1940s college basketball rankings , then greatest college basketball rankings.

There might be a lot of basketball knowledge contained in that giant alien head.
But I still despise the guy from the 1994 NBA finals when he hit that three pointer late in game three of the 1994 finals, after teams split the first two games in Houston.

The Knicks came all the way back from a large deficit to tie late in the fourth quarter, and then Cassell promptly hits a three on the next possession putting Houston ahead again.

The Knicks were unable to tie it after that. If he doesn’t make that shot, I think the Knicks win that game and the eventually the finals.

A pox on Cassell and all his ancestors.

Sam Cassell, yikes

There might be a lot of basketball knowledge contained in that giant alien head.
Cassell has been an assistant coach at various locations since 2009 and is currently with the Celtics where he won another Championship ring (first as a none player) last year.

Loucks has been with NBA teams in scouting, player development and as an assistant coach since 2016 and is currently with Kings since 2022.

Hubert is the messenger..UNC bball finally adding a GM role

First RIP to John Shumate. The day ND ended the UCLA 88 game streak was amazing. If I remember it was a Saturday afternoon. Like a game of the week. Everything was so different. I watched with my Father. Walton and Shumate both gone too soon.

Looking at the current Top 25, Duke is the only ACC team in it. Crazy.

Kansas State up 13 points with 13 minutes to go at Arizona State. They currently have a NET of 82 - would be great to see them move into top 75.
