Around College Basketball

k State has been a buzzsaw their past few games. Not sure what switch was flipped but wish they flipped it right after our game and not far too late

According to the commentators, and then looking at the game logs, it's Dug's 3 pt shooting. He's still only shooting 25% but he's 8 of 19 the past 4 games.

Tar Heels getting Tarred and feathered.
34-13 Dookies under 8 media timeout

Didnt expect a win but not expecting this annihilation. Totally undersized and playing scared
Huberts seat getting hotter by the minute.
Duke is head and shoulders above the rest of the ACC and almost everyone else outside of the top of the SEC and maybe a Big 12 team or 2.

UNC is in the third tier in the league with Wake, Pitt and Pitt. Louisville and maybe Clemson are perhaps a bit better. But it's a looooong way from Duke to the Tier 3 teams and below.

Carmine watches that league more than I do so he may have a more informed view but that's what I see from keeping an eye on Duke,.Pitt and Wake for various reasons

I forget who said it, but someone said the only real difference between us and Tennessee is they have Chaz Lanier and we don't. Hate to say it, but that's the separator between that Tier 1 (Duke, Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, Houston) and Tier 2/3 in college basketball.

I pretty much agree, it’s Duke and then Louisville (great turnaround) with then a huger gap with Clemson (I really haven’t seen them play much this year so I am not putting them up with Louisville), Pitt and Wake.

I also knew going in that Hubert is not a wonderful coach. But I am starting to wonder if Scheyer is. It's hard to gauge when you have that much talent on the roster but he has had to make some adjustments and (unlike Hubert) he hasn't screwed it up, either. Duke may have made a good hire with Mr Punchable Face

Amari Williams is playing better and is more productive at Kentucky in the best conference in the country than he was last year at Delaware in a low major conference. Imagine us with him instead of Vince as we supposedly were in on him.
